My most recent guidebook states that "guests must leave their wheelchair to ride" dumbo. And on the WDW page it says: "Guests must transfer from their wheelchair, motorized scooter or ECV to board the ride vehicle." Hoping here, too, that the new Dumbo will be accessible!

Has he tried using a cooling vest? There are many types, search for "phase change cooling vest" and "Personal Microclimate Body Cooling Vest". Something like that might enable him to go to the parks, in winter, without much trouble.

It says the new hospital is opening "in 2012", any idea of when? I guess I shouldn't worry, we'll be there the last week of 2012, but if they were planning on opening in December, I might still want to be sure to have Arnold Palmer set up in my gps.

Hi....our trip is coming up in May. DH and I split up sometimes, each taking one child (DD9, typical kid, and DD12, WC, doesn't like to ride anything to shaky/hilly/fast etc). We did use the child swap last time since we both wanted to ride Test Track, but what a pain that ride is to swap on...

I disagree with the other posters....your kids would certainly enjoy the water parks, however, they are still youngish, and you'll be TIRED. Take the time to rest some during your stay. The water parks are nice, but not really any different from any other water park.......I explained to DD...

They actually accomodated 7 of us in 2005. Rarely were we all together, but it stated on her GAC that there was her plus 6 others (my parents and aunt were there only for a few days and we didn't do everything together even then).

DD recently began having seizures again after a LOONG time of being controlled. Since they were so different from what we were used to (and we had moved and had new docs) I took my digital camera and video taped them. She was safe, there was nothing for me to do....so I got out the camera...

Aside from being cautious about commando touring, which you said is not your style anyhow, there isn't much else that I would think would cause seizures (I have epilepsy, my 12 yr old has a disorder that includes seizures as well), aside from the stobe lights. You should have the EEG scheduled...
