Sorry you had a bad experience with your bands. Our situation was the opposite. We loved FP+, had no problems over our 10 day Christmas trip, and were able to sleep in since we reserved our favorite rides.

Yes- double dipping does help! We were fine at AK and our other day w/o. MK I pulled a Buzz and Splash. During less busy times 3 would be fine. I booked a Disney package to get free dining and I have an AP do I double bought to earn my double dip.
