One idea is to ride the "Birthday rides" - Alice in Wonderland, Winnie the Pooh & Haunted Mansion (down for refurb, but maybe back by the time you visit).
All of those attractions feature birthday (or "unbirthday") scenes in them, and it's kind of a fun thing to do on a birthday.
This is so interesting to me re Viking vs ABD - we JUST got done with our first Viking cruise to Antarctica and we really loved the ship, service and customer philosophy. We are booked for an Adults Only ABD to Egypt early next year, and we recently compared the Viking & ABD Egypt...
I do feel like the hottest days of the year - the extreme (as in over 110F) heat will also depress turnout to a degree, but you will have a miserable time. Whereas if you are dressed for rain (decent raincoat and footwear), you'll probably have a marvelous time at Disneyland in the rain.
We went on Friday, March 10 - it POURED all day and crowds were noticeably lighter. The posted wait for Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway was 30 minutes and I think we actually waited 15. We also got to ride RISE, which we hadn't been on in years - we definitely waited less than an hour for...
I am and we are scrambling to find a replacement because we REALLY want to do this trip next winter.
I wondered what was up when I noticed last week that there were NO new Antarctica ABD trips in the 2024/2025 itineraries. I felt incredibly lucky to have snagged the last one.
I'm so sorry...

I don't think it matters who wins; I believe it's all about proximity to where the game is played. This year it's in CA so DLR should host the MVP parade - assuming there even is one due to Covid/Omicron, etc.
I went to the last SuperBowl DLR parade which was in 2016, as that game was played...
I think you'll be glad you did it! I had it booked for a milestone anniversary in May 2020, and then...*gestures at everything*
I really want to re-book, I'm just not sure when next year will work. You'll have such a magical time - I'm glad you did it!!!
I actually like the PPH! I should note that I haven't stayed here since COVID, but it's my go-to Disneyland hotel. I agree that the lobby can be chaotic with the elevators - the new system where you choose your floor and it directs you to a specific elevator helps, but...sometimes there's just...
That week before Thanksgiving used to be my favorite time to go - I always found it very low crowds in the past. This year I don't know how crowds will be impacted with all the new *gestures at everything*
