    Disney *Should* Be Ashamed

Wow! I had no idea that the earlier check-in for platinum/gold/silver wasn't still happening. That stinks.

Currently on Harmony of the Seas

And on my gosh yes, the Solarium was always SO HOT! It's a very large area and I really wanted to hang out there and read, but there's no breeze.

Currently on Harmony of the Seas

Thanks for sharing your experience. We sailed on Harmony of the Seas a few weeks before you, on May 22. The ship was 96% full but there weren't a lot of kids. My teen boys LOVE Royal Caribbean. I know it's not the same as DCL, and we do have a cruise planned on the Disney Wish next year. For...

Probability that Disney will cancel sailings?

Honestly, I think there is a good chance. Royal Caribbean and NCL have both canceled some upcoming sailings due to too many crew members being sick.

Did anyone ever get a wheelchair (not a scooter) on the ship

I used Scootaround to rent a wheelchair for my mom. They delivered it to the stateroom and picked it up from there at the end.

    Royal Court Tea-Recent Experience

My daughter and I did it on the Dream a few weeks ago. All parties had a table to themselves. The biggest difference was that each princess stands in the middle and talks to each table from a distance instead of going to a table. Also, there his no group dancing anymore. It was still very enjoyable.

    Higher Capacities - Protocol Changes?

I was on the 10/4 cruise and I wondered how everything would work with more passengers, specifically the elevator rules.

Is Disney keeping up cleanliness and service standards on the ships?

I was on the Dream last week. and I'd say Yes.

    The "adult" variety act performances

We didn't have a variety act on our recent cruise. I missed it.

    New "Navigators"

I got off the Dream on Friday. I was told there are no more paper navigators. I think the activities are more sparse and a paper navigator would look empty compared to how it used to look pre-Covid.

Anyone ever taken a recuperation cruise?

I haven't been on a solo cruise but I absolutely think you should go! You need a break. Take it.

Uhm....Bahamas is now requiring vaccinations for all passengers over 12..

Why hasn't DCL made an announcement yet???? Royal Caribbean was quick to announce yesterday.

New Character Interactions On Disney Cruise Line

Last Christmas, my daughter got a photo with a Santa-in-a-snowglobe. She was outside the snow globe, he was inside. I wish DCL would do something creative like that--maybe have the characters behind a glass porthole for better photos.

Concerns about cruising at all until COVID19 vaccine exists

We are leaning towards not cruising until there is a vaccine. Our next cruise is next March. Unless the disease totally disappears without a trace, we will get a vaccine before cruising.

Rented Points. What Should I Do?

Hi--I rented points for a 2-bedroom in late May/early June from a DVC owner. I reached out to the owner to ask if I have any reschedule options if that time frame is still not operational or recommended for travel. Owners said the points expire at the end of February 2021. So, we could keep our...

New Disney Ships: News, Rumors, Speculation.....and Names!

So does anyone think the Wish construction might be pushed back months or even years due to the huge financial loss Disney is taking now and over the next few months?

    2021 cruise watch thread~!

I completely agree! I think it's a horrible time to announce new cruise itineraries. And I just read this: https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/coronavirus-outbreak-may-keep-cruise-line-industry-underwater-until-2021-expert-173835780.html
