Uber to Parks from Non-Disney resort

If I take an Uber from outside Disney to any one of the parks where do they drop you off? Do they drop ubat the entrance to the park or do they drop you at the entrance of the parking lot? I know at MK they have the TTC. I will have my own vehicle but I have mobility issues and with no trams...

Wow..some adults never cease to amaze me

My motto: Kill em with kindness! Even if you have to bludgeon them over the head with it. People melt down, kids get tired - if we react to it, it think it just feeds into the situation making it worse. Try to find a way to be kind, compassionate and understanding. :lovestruc

How To Coach Someone Onto Thrill Rides

My son had never ridden Rockin Rollercoaster. Once he got tall enough I told him I would walk him to the front and he could get on and ride. I HATE roller coasters but I figured I would just take the chicken exit once I put him on the ride. In line, he started to change his mind, getting...

    1 Person With/without dining plan

I am going in November without the rest of the family. I am staying with one of my girl friends in her one-bedroom DVC villa in Bay Lake Towers. I have to either get the same dining plan she has (deluxe) or have no dining plan at all. If I have no dining plan, would I be able to say eat at...

ATTN: Empty nesters, has disney lost its magic?

My husband and I took an anniversary trip this past September - it was soooo different without my DS (now 13). We took it slow, enjoyed the F&W festival, didn't have to worry about eating at a certain time or riding specific rides or cramming in a certain amount of the "magic". I am hoping...

    A few Epcot F&W ?'s

We just did F&W! We sampled as we went and spread it out over a few days. We used snack credits from our DDP (2 each/day) and put 100 on a wristband GC for the rest. Worked perfectly. No worries. We could use our MBs to use a snack credit and just slide the GC to use that.

Ladies- do you wear makeup in the parks?

Its hard to wear makeup in the heat when you are constantly wiping the sweat off your face. I do moisturizer, BB cream, some powder bronzer and blush and nothing on my eyes. Sometimes some tinted chapstick. I would be reapplying every 5 minutes so I don't do much. :rolleyes2

Any September guests received FP+ testing invite?

We are traveling 9/26 to 10/2 - Contemporary Resort - I received our package documents with no mention of the Magic Bands. About two days after I got the package, I signed onto the MDE app on my phone, and the MB customization and FP+ reservations showed up. I customized our bands and...

Ridiculous Question - Anyone know Dimensions of an Epcot Garbage Can lid ?

Add me into the Trash Can Top club!! :yay: I'm just jealous that I didn't think of the tablecloth idea the first time we were there for F&W. That would have been sweet! I don't find that ridiculous at all! Kudos to your wife for having such an awesome idea. :cheer2:

    The unneccessary planning and scheduling

I say all things in moderation. I found the 1st time we went I did a LOT of planning because I was new and I wanted the trip to be magical and it was! pixiedust: The next few times, I did less and less planning, with the exception of ADRS and which park on which day. I don't necessarily...

    Week before Thanksgiving

We have been the week of Veterans Day and the week before Thanksgiving and with the exception of the weekend before Vetarans Day it has been very reasonable. Plus, the weather in November is usually great. Not too hot and not to cold. :goodvibes

Please tell me we will like Pop Century share the good and bad

We LOVE Pop Century! We could afford a moderate and have stayed at a deluxe (BLT) but we realize that we always feel more comfortable at Pop Century. The 3 times we've stayed have been in the 70's building on the 3rd floor. Love it! The rooms are a little smaller but we have never...

What's the one thing (in the World) everyone should do at least once?

I know everyone is down on "Stitch" but you should try it at least once! I am not ashamed to say I actually like Stitch...a little. Go on and decide for yourself

    The over 40 Disney Crowd

A few suggestions I have found are helpful: 1) Alternate different pairs of comfortable shoes and don't wear shoes you haven't broken in. 2) Prevention - I take 2 Alleve in the a.m. BEFORE we even head out the door, whether I am in pain at the time or not. It goes a long way towards keeping...

    Will my husband come around??

My DH loved the 1st trip we took when my DS was 4 1/2. It was during Year of a Million Dreams and we went with two friends. My DS remembers everything about that trip. There was a lot of pixie dust and many special moments. Since then we have gone several times, sometimes with DH and...

Do you ever go to WDW without a detailed plan of your days?

We have been multiple times and no longer plan much except what park we want to be n and ADRs. Our plan is really fluid and we change it constantly while we are there. We don't want to miss any magic moments because we are so intent on sticking to a plan. However, if it were only my 1st or 2nd...

What age did your child stop believing the characters are real?

When he was 5 years old, my DS got chosen during the Year of a Million Dreams to start Illuminations with Mickey's wand. The whole rest of the trip, every time we saw fireworks (Wishes, etc) he would turn to me and say "Mom, that's MY magic from Mickey's wand." Now 12 yrs old, he knows in his...

    Oh How Cruel.....

We have gotten a pin almost every year whether we were going or not but not this year. :confused3 DH and I are going from 9/26 to 10/2 for our 20th wedding anniversary. Free dining ends right before we leave but we managed to get a 30% room discount for 2 days of our 5 night/6 day stay...
