    If you have seen Blackfish.....

If Blackfish made you curious, I highly recommend the book "Death at SeaWorld" by David Kirby. It essentially makes the same argument "Blackfish" does, but gives MUCH more information. With a movie, it's easy to accuse of bias since the medium is so limited. While I liked Blackfish, I would...

    E TN Smoky Mountain Meet?

I think early April should be perfect! I think by then spring breaks are mostly finished, so it should be less crazy. The flowers should be in bloom then, too. Can I also make an executive decision and say we will not go near Ripley's Aquarium? I find that place to be a rip off. However, I'm...

    E TN Smoky Mountain Meet?

Yay Jack! When do you think is the best time? I'm thinking anytime off-season, but still in spring. For raising money, we could do a silent auction, or a sponsored hike. It feels right to do something nature-related. I'm so glad there is interest in coming east. I love Nashville, but I don't...

    E TN Smoky Mountain Meet?

I just found out there was already a Nashville meet, so I thought it might be fun to try for the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area. Maybe even Townsend, if we want to connect more to the mountains than to the tourist traps.

    E TN Smoky Mountain Meet?

Hey all! It's been a while since I've been back here, but during the last live show, I got the idea to try a meet in Nashville. There were several interested parties in the chat, and I thought Nashville would be a good central location for the Bible Belt DISers. They also have their own Gaylord...

Crafty for GKTW - November 9th

I have been meaning to knit a Mickey Mouse scarf (whose patter I found on the DIS) for the longest time. This might actually motivate me to do that. If I'm not legally allowed to do that, I can possibly modify it to be a podcast scarf. Send me a PM if this becomes a reality and I will get started.

    What happened to the Prizematron?

I just started listening to the podcast again after more than a year, and this is one of the things I noticed the most. I guess it's time to bring back the low-tech envelopes. It always reminded me of a Gregorian Chant, and always added my "Kyrie Eleison" after it. I miss doing that...

    Spiders in ITTBAB?

Personally, it's not so much the spiders as it is the "hornet" stabbing me in the back. Either way, I normally opt out of that attraction due to being afraid of pretty much every bug they feature.

    Bin Laden DEAD

While I hate rejoicing over death, I always am excited when justice is done. It happens so little nowadays. Congrats to the military for all their hard work paying off.

Mars Needs Moms EPIC box office flop...Disney Shocked...

That makes way more sense. After watching Avatar and seeing how motion capture could look like, the stuff coming out of the Zemeckis studio just seems unnecessarily creepy. I'm glad they closed up shop.

Mars Needs Moms EPIC box office flop...Disney Shocked...

I saw the previews, and my first reaction was "Is this really a Disney movie?" With the new direction John Lassiter is taking which is giving us movies like The Princess and the Frog and Tangled, I cannot see how a movie like this got made. I'm guessing Disney made this seperate from the...

OT - Feeling Angry and Sad Right Now

Thanks everyone. It's good to know that I'm not alone. Talking about it always makes me feel better. I actually still love it here in East Tennessee and would not trade my move here for anything. The job I have now was the gateway, and I will always be grateful for that. Now, God has something...

OT - Feeling Angry and Sad Right Now

I have not been on the boards very much since I moved to East Tennessee, mostly because of the reminder that I'm far from WDW and might not be going back soon. However, I felt the need to come back and rant to an understanding crowd. I know there has been a fair share of sadness on these boards...

    Favorite Disney Urban Legends

Yeah, I've become one of those people, too. I actually had a almost fight with one of my coworkers who told one of the patients we only use ten percent of our brain capacity. I said that was a myth, but I couldn't really go into it since we were in the middle of group therapy. However, that is a...

    Favorite Disney Urban Legends

I have recently become addicted to Snopes.com and debunking all the e-mail forwards I recieve. The website has a section of urban legends dedicated to Disney. Some of them we know, others I was surprised about, such as no one ever being declared dead on Disney property (not true) and the...

    Disney Villians!

I second that. Frollo was the first villain that made me want to throw tomatoes at the TV.
