Resort Help - BC, WL, or POR

Since we are not doing DDP, what about doing a split stay with 3 nights at BC and 4 nights at WL? We've never done that...how does Disney handle it in terms of tickets, magic bands, and luggage?

Resort Help - BC, WL, or POR

We won't have a car and will rely on Disney transportation, including Minnie vans. We typically eat breakfast 3 or 4 times at the resort QS when we don't have a ADR. We typically eat lunch in the parks and have ADRs for dinner, minus a night or two when we are tired and want to swim and grab a...

Resort Help - BC, WL, or POR

Planning our trip for June 2018. Family of 4, DD1 will be 13, DD2 will be 9. We've been to WDW and DL many times, but it's been 3 years since we've been to WDW...discovered DL for awhile there. :) We no longer do the DDP as we prefer to be more flexible and no longer find it to be financially...

    WWYD? Pay Issue....

OP, I am a software engineer, am female, and am a team lead. Give HR a chance to fix the situation. You cannot prove sexual discrimination easily in this case and if you start threatening them, you are risking your career there as well as elsewhere. People in the industry have friends at other...

    Dinner AFTER vacation

We have a list of items we will need when we get home...milk, bananas, etc. Things like bread we will have ready in the freezer to pull out when we get home, and the pantry is stocked before we leave. Anyway, the list of perishables is a standard list that we is the same after any long trip we...

    Thoughts on Nassau

For our May cruise, we are stopping in Nassau. We booked day passes at the British Colonial Hilton. It is $60/adult, $30/child, and free for kuds under 5. For the price, you get a $40 (adult) or $15 (child) food and beverage voucher at their patio grill and bar. Private beach, gorgeous pool, and...

    My Disney Woes...

OP, have you ever tried cruising? Not just on DCL, but Royal Caribbean or another line? My family does every other year at Disney and every other year doing something else. One year it was a "tour of Texas"...we live in Dallas, so we visited San Antonio and the coast. This year, it's a...

    Walkie Talkies?

Thanks for the help! Yeah, I wanted to do DCL...the Wave phones look so cool...but the ILs did not want to do Disney. I think the post-it idea may work...or I may bring 2 marker boards for our doors to leave messages. That way, I could put a note on their door about our location.

    Walkie Talkies?

Going on a non-Disney cruise next year with my in-laws and am looking for a way to keep everyone in contact. Has anyone here used walkie talkies? Any recommendations on a good set? Thanks!

    got carried away

I have a spreadsheet where I log each Christmas purchase for my kids with how much I spent. So I do stick to my budget, but I budget $350 per child for my kiddos. When wrapping presents, I usually find that for that budget, I have bought WAY too much for my kids. So I always take some items...

    Budget stocking stuffers for Grandma?

I let my kids loose at Bed Bath and Beyond (happened to be there) to pick out gift. My oldest DD picked chip clips for one grandpa, a $5 beverage warmer (to set your mug on) for the other grandpa, and fancy magnetic closure notepads with jewels/initial on it for her two grandmothers (for their...

    Disney Magic vs. Carnival Magic

Trying to decide between a 7-nt Carnival Magic cruise (going to Key West, Freeport, and Nassau) and the new 8-nt Disney Magic cruise (going to Key West, Castaway Cay, and Port Canaveral). Both sailings are out of Galveston. Obviously, the itinerary point goes to Disney. However, the water park...
