Another vote for shelties! We have had 3 over the years and love them! They are smart, easy to train and very kid friendly.They are extremely tolerant.:lovestruc They also play well with others. The only down side is they shed.

We stayed in the Holiday Inn Express in the Historic District . It was nice , clean and conveniently located. It was under $200/ night. Hope that helps.:)
