They also have bikes in between the training wheel size and the adult size. They are for the bigger kids (6-12) who don't need training wheels but not tall enough for an adult bike yet.

We just got back from our Wonder cruise and my DS (5) rode the whole route on a bike with training wheels. We had him in a baby seat the first day and the second day he said he wanted his own bike. He did fine.
