Tell me about the crowds and weather this week! Please!

Here now. This is our first summer trip. In the room to cool off before going back out tonight. Been here since last Wednesday. First few days were very rainy, but not much over the weekend. We have ponchos, but those made us just hot and wet. I'd rather just be wet, so ditched those. A little...

Is Walt Disney World going to 100% security screenings at the parks?

I have seen the bus stop cast members in the past, but not on a regular basis, maybe we aren't on the busses early enough? And I would estimate it took us between 5 and 10 minutes longer to enter the park. The wait time is not the issue, it's the throng of people collected there. Which is not a...

Is Walt Disney World going to 100% security screenings at the parks?

My family went to MK today. We are Disney veterans and have never felt unsafe, but today I was a little on edge. We took a bus from Saratoga Springs. There was a Cast Member at the resort bus stop, presumably to give people wait times. I have seen these people doing this in the past, but they...

    Arrival time for 8:15am BOG?

Just snagged a last minute ADR for Be Our Guest for this Thursday! Yay! What time should we arrive at MK for an 8:15am ADR? Park opens at 8:00 that day. We are driving, so need to take into account travel time from TTC. We usually aren't early risers but will make an exception for BOG!

    Victoria and Alberts

Typically, a meal at V&A takes about 3 hours. So if your ADR is before 8, you should have plenty of time. If you drink alcohol, I highly recommend doing the wine pairings. Elevates the meal to another level!

    To Alaska and beyond

Thank you so much for doing this!! We also sail on June 9, so this is very helpful to know what to expect. This will be our first Alaska cruise, but second with Disney. I hope your trip continues to be as much fun as it already has been!

    Crowds last week of March/Easter?

We're thinking of visiting DLR for our boys' spring break in March 2013. Their SB week is also the week before Easter. How will crowds be then? The last time we were there we went in May and there were virtually no crowds. I have a feeling this time will be different. :goodvibes Thanks for your...

    May 13, 2012 4 Night Bahamian Cruise

I just realized some questions were asked and I never answered! Sorry! I thought I had it set up to receive emails from this thread, but guess not. Anyway, we will be in the parks for a few days pre-cruise so looking forward to that! As far as the FE goes, I'm too late so it's a moot point, but...

    May 13, 2012 4 Night Bahamian Cruise

Been a while since I've been around here, but wanted to join in. We're paid up and ready to go! DS (8), DS (7) and DD (1) will be in tow to celebrate our 11th anniversary (10th a year late...were supposed to sail May 2011 but little bit wasn't old enough!). We're so excited for our first cruise...

who is going to WDW pregnant? tips, advice, excitement!

I'm leaving this Thursday (10/21) for a week. :cool1: I'm about 26 wks with #3. I plan on taking lots of breaks, wearing comfortable shoes (even flats to our nice dinners) and napping in the afternoon. I'll try to check back in after the trip to tell how it went!

DDP and TIW at same time?

We are visiting WDW in October and will be paying oop for DDP (as DVC members..no free dining for us). We also have a TIW card. I was wondering if we could use the TIW card for appetizers and drinks while we use the DDP credit for our entree and dessert? Is this possible? It it a nightmare to...

    Disruptive children in restaurants

The worst case I have ever experienced was with my 11-month-old niece. We were having lunch at Le Cellier with our boys (6,5) and my BIL, SIL, nephew and niece. Through no fault of her own, she was tired and hungry and very, very fussy. I put up with her screaming for about 5 minutes (after she...

    You too can do Disney...pregnant!

This October will be my second trip while pregnant. The first time, I was only seven weeks, so no big deal. Just couldn't ride the thrill rides. By the end of the trip, I had to buy some elastic-waisted shorts in the gift shop because none of my shorts would fit comfortably! In...

    Dream a Little Dream: May 8-12, 2011

Sad/happy news. Bummer-roo. :sad1: We had to cancel our cruise (moving to a later date) but the reason why is fantastic! We're expecting our third child in February, so little bit won't quite be old enough to cruise in May. I hope all of you have a wonderful time!

What do You always forget and have to buy?

Coffee filters and coffee! We stay at DVC properties and brew our own coffee every morning. We ALWAYS forget filters and coffee. It has become a running joke. Our coffee maker at home doesn't take regular filters so we have quite a stash of packs of filters! Maybe by posting this I'll remember...

Do you get upset when your kid doesn't get invited to a birthday party?

We are having a joint birthday party tomorrow for DSs 6 and (turning) 5. Their birthdays are in January and March and they both wanted a bowling party so we split the difference and are having one party in Feb. I let each of them invite 4 friends from their classes and then they invited 6 more...
