    2 adults, 4 kids, and a 7 month old at the sci-fi?

Maybe leave the baby off the reservation - else they could see the party size and plan to have you sitting in the picnic table area.... which is pretty lame.

    CRT vs AH storybook breakfast?

At least at CRT the boys will get plastic swords. of course its $$$ so if the swords matter just get some from the dollar store and eat at Akershus - the food is better there!

    How is Whispering Canyon Café?

it is SO loud here. We went once and all left with pounding headaches. We were there at dinner - food was 'eh'. Environment, so not for me!

Can you get to Contemporary from Pop via bus?

Have them take the bus from POP to the Magic Kingdom and then walk over to the contemporary - will take less than 10 minutes. Then you can ride the monorail together. Or they can take the bus from POP to a park and then hop on a contemporary bus and meet you. Either way, its a roundabout.

Remy at Chefs de France on 09/13/2010

We were there on 9/27/10 and told remy would be away for at least 2 weeks "on vacation". Very bummer. My meal was OK but they are the only place that charged us for a refill on kids drinks - chocolate milk and meanwhile my son was only drinking water so if they wanted to be really...

    Mama Melroses Lunch Fantasmic package

Yes the fantasmic pkg includes Apps, entree and dessert. Also if you really are hungry- there are 2 apps on there that are "for 2" but only count as 1 appetizer so you can get calamari for 2 and antipasto for 2. My husband had the chicken parm it was just OK. I had the penne with vodka and...

    CM or Ohana bfast??

We prefer Ohana because it is a sit down meal served family style and they bring it to you instead of the nonstop up and down of buffet (and CM buffet really gets "trashed" because so many ppl!) The characters there are fun, Lilo Stitch, Pluto and Mickey. Stitch is very playful as is Pluto...

Need some info on the AKL bunkbeds please!

The sides are definitely much higher than the mattress. It is like it has bed rails around on all 4 sides. My 9 year old loved it and is used to a loft bed but one night my 5 year old convinced him to try the lower bunk so she could sleep up there and she did fine. She is the kind of kid who...

Mother-daughter trip - what week in January and what resort?

I would stay at a monorail resort for ease of transport. We did a 3 generation girls trip last year and were at the Contemporary in the tower and it was perfect. If she has mobility issues, go for the ECV vs the wheelchair it will give her more independence and you won't have to push it...

What else to say to the characters???

My kids asked Mary Poppins how she is able to fly at the 1900 PF breakfast. She came out with a cute answer about not spilling the secret. Mary Poppins at EPCOT was also very good with my son (he is autistic) and she was super sweet with him.

What else to say to the characters???

Definitely talk to Vidia (Tinkerbell fairy area) about getting stuck in a bottle!!! My son (who is autistic) and didn't know what can of worms he was opening up at all. Said oh - its the fairy who gets stuck in a bottle... she just went on and on and on. The pictures we got from the...

Help! I didn't do an AKL room request

We got a Kudu trail room near the end on the 2nd floor - I had requested a quiet area and we got it. We also got one of the most amazing savannah views ever. We had 4 giraffe that would go congregate and go to sleep outside of our room almost every night. The room looked across to kidani and we...

    Alice @ 1900 PF breakfast?

It was standard breakfast food plus a few extras like lobster eggs benedict and strawberry soup (they have this at dinner also). We liked it. The only thing that was pretty lame was they take a picture of your child (or family) up against a painting on a wall and try to sell it to you for $30.

Difference between AKL Savanna View & Arusha View?

We had sunset savannah - kudu trail.. we were far down.. at the end and could look across and see Kidani - it was a long walk and the first day as we found our way to the room my husband and I both thought about calling and requesting a different room. As soon as we walked out on our balcony...

    Ohana or Sanaa?

We loved Sanaa - went there last week and had a seat right by the window so we saw a lot of animals but not near as many as we saw from our 'own savannah view' across the savanaah at AKL kudu trail. The kids enjoyed their meals there and are both picky eaters - one with food allergies. My...

which character meals would YOU drop?

Keep the park faire breakfast as Mary Poppins and Pooh characters are there! Then cancel the CP lunch and/or breakfast whichever doesn't work well with your touring plans. If you cancel Tusker you can find Donald at Camp Minnie & Mickey in AK or Frontierland in MK. You can find Daisy at...

    Alice @ 1900 PF breakfast?

Yes we were just there 3 days ago and it was Alice, Mad Hatter, Pooh, Tigger and Mary Poppins -- it was really more fun than I imagined. My daughter also loves the Wonderland Tea Party at the same location with Alice & Mad Hatter.

    Ratatouille still at Chefs?

We were there on 9/27 and were told Remy was away for 2 weeks on vacation. It was a bit of a bummer as we had timed our meal in hopes to see him and we might not have gone to Le Chefs otherwise. But we did have a pretty good meal all things considered.
