    Disney Genie announcement

I expect it will be pay per ride, for the most part. I think they'll probably allocate the big majority of the ride slots for the day to Genie+ pay per ride system and the remainder of the slots will be available to the virtual queue system they have now. Whatever the balance is that gives them...

Extended Evening Hours for Deluxe Guests - Just saw this with specifics

Was really hoping, but not really expecting, that this would be 1 night a week at each of the parks. Looks like AK and HS aren't going to get it. Bummer.

Evening Magic Hours for Deluxe Guests Only

I was merely expressing my appreciation for the free market system. In no way did I suggest that people are not allowed to be upset and share their opinions. I'm absolutely in favor of your right to communicate your dissatisfaction. In fact, I encourage it. :)

Evening Magic Hours for Deluxe Guests Only

Thank goodness the U.S. still has a relatively free market economy. At least when it comes to amusement parks.

    MDE - wrong age

Oh what a tangled web we weave... :)

Are Disney resorts currently worth the large price tag?

Plus the Express Unlimited pass if you stay at a Universal 'deluxe' hotel. I told my family that, depending on the situation at WDW for our scheduled trip in November, we might go to Universal instead.

State of Fast Pass Return (or replacement)

Waiting to see what the situation is. If some type of FP comes back and is tied to staying onsite, then there's about a 95% chance I'll choose that route, even if the room does cost me twice as much.

State of Fast Pass Return (or replacement)

I'll be thrilled if WDW doesn't give them away to onsite guests, or give some other meaningful incentive for staying onsite. That will mean I can cancel my outrageously expensive reservations and save a ton of money by staying offsite.

Private VIP Tours have access to RotR

This is all true. It also applies to the entire WDW experience, from people staying in suites at deluxe resorts and paying for VIP tours to people staying at value resorts (or offsite) and visiting as cheaply as possible. All of those people are paying what seems like a lot of money to them and...

Private VIP Tours have access to RotR

If the VIP tours are being booked solid anyway, WDW has no incentive to include RotR. It's just like with anything else. Why offer more when people are already paying whatever you ask?

    MDE App issues???

It was acting up for me yesterday. I cleared the cache & cookies on my browser and that fixed it. (Settings/Clear Browsing Data in Chrome.)

WWYD: Screaming kid on the other side of the wall of your hotel room

Been there, done that. Never been so thankful that my son looks just like me! :)

State of Fast Pass Return (or replacement)

I dunno... I'm having a pretty good time watching the debates happening on this board. :surfweb:

State of Fast Pass Return (or replacement)

And Chapek seems VERY enthusiastic about it. I mean, he basically said this is the direction they are going. The only question is will it just be for the biggest headliners or will it trickle down to almost everything?

State of Fast Pass Return (or replacement)

Maybe. But a better plan would be to find something else for those people to do. If "Keep a lot of people standing around doing nothing at all times" is a critical part of their business strategy, then they probably want to reconsider that.

State of Fast Pass Return (or replacement)

The more I think about it, the more I believe WDW is going to try to eliminate standby lines almost completely. All queues for major rides will be virtual. Just a hunch, but it makes sense to me. Why have people actually standing in line? You get your virtual place in line, then just hang out...

Disney's PORT ORLEANS RIVERSIDE RESORT Information & Questions

So we are booked for the Dolphin in September but I decided to hedge my bets and make a reservation for POR in November. Personally, I think I'd rather wait and go in Nov, but we'll be watching the situation with fastpass, etc, before we make a final decision.

State of Fast Pass Return (or replacement)

40 minutes for Dumbo seems totally reasonable... :rolleyes1

State of Fast Pass Return (or replacement)

Yeah, I think the "Everything is better with no FP" crowd has mostly gone quiet. :) I personally will be canceling my September trip if there isn't a solution in place before then.

    Open Port Orleans Already!-Opening OCT 14th & 28th!!!!

This is exactly right. The entire hospitality industry in the US pretty much shut down and most of those people moved on to something else. Now the entire industry is trying to ramp back up at once, and there's a lot of competition to hire those workers. I'm sure Disney doesn't want those empty...
