Poll for Canadians Edited... I got one dose of ... and I got the my second shot (two votes allowed)

I got my 2nd vaccination last week. My first was Moderna, and my 2nd Pfizer. The only reaction i had to my 2nd shot was a sore arm...same amount and duration of soreness as my Moderna shot, but early the day after my shot I also had some muscle pain in my armpit and along my side(length of...

    Passports

I know! I feel the same way about cheques! Recently I had to send a cheque to the company I work for to pay out my benefits because I’m on an LOA....really?! It’s a big company, and they want a cheque mailed?!?? C’mon people, get with the times! What’s wrong with paying by credit card or...

Dream planning a trip to Disneyland

I believe you were responding to my post above yours. Since I don’t rent a car, I take an Uber from LAX to Anaheim (or the beach when I stay there). It can be pricey, but I plan for it and considering the cost of the rest of the trip, and the convenience...it’s worth it.

Dream planning a trip to Disneyland

I’m the opposite, especially on my way to California, I’d rather get there quicker than draw out my travel day with a connection. Plus, being that they’re 3 hours behind Ontario because of the time zones, I can leave Toronto at let’s say 8am and arrive to LAX by 10am! 8-)

Dream planning a trip to Disneyland

(Sorry if this seems long winded...I love going to DL and SoCal) After many yearly trips to WDW I decided to make a trip to CA and Disneyland during their 60th anniversary celebration(2015, I went in 2016)...and now I haven’t been back to WDW, yet I have 4 trips to DL under my belt! :lovestruc...

    Verification of Vaccination

I’m also in Ontario. I got the email, and also a little receipt-like slip printed out and given to us which had the same info on it as the email, but smaller. I’m not sure if that is unique to the vaccination clinic I went to or not.

    CAD $$

Same with me. I always use a credit card when I’m traveling in the US. I sometime get about $100 USD for small purchases, but even then, I sometimes have trouble spending that cash. A credit card is just easier for me....and I can track my purchases online.

ALL CANADIAN DISNEY STORES TO CLOSE

Not that I’m able to visit a Disney Store very often, but I am sad to hear this, and I will miss dropping in every time I find myself in the Eaton Centre in Toronto. I remember the old Disney store in the 90s/early ‘00s with the big pile of stuffed toys in the back, under the screen showing...

Poll for Canadians Edited... I got one dose of ... and I got the my second shot (two votes allowed)

I changed my vote! I got the vaccine yesterday, at a vaccination site through our health unit (in Ontario)...I got Moderna. Side effects for me- very sore arm, tiredness, and a little bit of dizziness/light headed....mostly my sore arm is the worst side effect(i can mostly ignore it).

    Third Wave is Here...

A little update: a couple weeks ago I posted that I was upset about the postponement of elective surgeries in Ontario because I was in a wait list for surgery. Well...this past Thursday I got a call from my surgeon to say that I am having surgery(back surgery) on Tuesday April 20...this...

Poll for Canadians Edited... I got one dose of ... and I got the my second shot (two votes allowed)

I’m still waiting for my vaccine (I’m in my late 30s...live in SW Ontario). My mother got her’s 2 weeks ago, Pfizer at a vaccination site. Yesterday my brother-in-law got his at a Walmart pharmacy...he got AZ. So with the 2 of them having their first doses, that’s 25% of my bubble vaccinated...

    Third Wave is Here...

(I apologize in advance if I sound whiny) The news of “elective” surgeries in Ontario being on hold isn’t comforting to me. I’m on the wait list for surgery(back surgery) , and now this means it’ll be even longer before I hear about a surgery date. 😢 I understand why it’s happening, but it...

Disneyland set to reopen on April 30

My Disneyland 3-day Canadian pass is still showing up on the app...but it says nothing at all about an expiry date, even in all the fine print.

What everyday item reminds you of Disney?

Yes, it is available in Canada. It’s called “One Step Live Clean”. It should be easy to find. It doesn’t say anything about being apple scented, but to me it certainly is!

Ottawamom, who was that directed to?

What everyday item reminds you of Disney?

On one of my first trips to WDW, I brought a travel sized bottle of the “One Step” brand hand sanitizer and used it often. It has a fresh, apple-like smell that I love! Over the years that brand changed the fragrance, but recently the apple scent has returned! Last spring I bought a 1 litre...

Cheap stay..Kings Inn, Clarion, Motel 6 or other??

Yes, I agree with Desert Palms inn, depending on what their rates are at the time. I stayed there a couple years ago...the rooms were clean, beds comfy, bathroom was very clean. The cute indoor/outdoor pool was a nice bonus. The walk to DL wasn’t bad at all- about 10 mins. It’s RIGHT around the...

Offsite hotel in walking distance with interior corridors?

Another close-by hotel with interior hallways is Desert Palms Hotel and Suites (not to be confused with Desert Hotel). It’s located on Katella, at Harbor..right next door to 7-11. It’s about 10-15 min walk depending on how fast you walk. We stayed there a couple years ago and liked it.

How much better is John Wayne Airport?

For me, it’s all about cost when choosing between SNA and LAX. Yes, SNA is closer to DL, but for me, coming from Canada, it’s easier to get a lower priced flight, better flight times, and a better chance of a non-stop flight. If you’re taking Uber/Lyft to and from the airport, traffic and...
