Thanks for posting this Wendy! I'm excited that people are already so into it. Nominations have only been open since this afternoon and I've already received well over a hundred!!
Nominations stay open until the middle of next month so feel free to take your time with it. Thanks for sending...
I'm actually excited that the blog is up, although I was also disappointed when I couldn't get it to run smoothly. With all the stuff on Disney weddings out there, I can't possibly cover everything and Disney has access to a lot of great photos/information that I don't have.
Here's hoping...
Wendy didn't use sunflowers, but she used something similar and I thought her wedding turned out really cute. Maybe it will help you with ideas: http://www.disneyweddingblog.com/2010/06/wedding-spotlight-wendy-eric.html
Announcement!
There's a new wedding spotlight application! I'm updating the wedding spotlights that I've put up in the past and gathering more information for future spotlights, since so many people wanted to know who did the floral, hair/makeup, bridesmaid dresses, etc.
I know there are...
Hi Wendy,
Thanks for letting me borrow your photos! I meant to drop you a line to tell you about the spotlights, but it skipped my mind. I didn't know if you noticed, but you were double blogged! I got both your wedding and your session with Randy.
Wedding...
How about photos of your planners/coordinators hard at work on your wedding day? (not super exciting, but this thread is too quiet!)
Here's Marion Stewart:
We got married during marathon weekend 2009, partially because we thought we were going to also run the half-marathon. (That soooo didn't happen.) The good thing is that four of our guests actually did decide to run the event, so they got more out of their trip than just our wedding.
The...
We're also in Salt Lake and we'd love to do a meetup! I don't think we're hitting WDW until next January, but a group dinner here in Utah would be fun!
My littlest "bridesmaid" was really not interested in walking down the aisle with her mama...
The only other pic I have of tears is my poor dad trying to keep it together as the ceremony got started...
I did a couple videos for my grandparent's anniversary and some projects for my brother. The two songs that seemed to get the best reaction were "Sh-Boom" by The Chords and DJ Earworm's United States of Pop 2009. I'm not sure if that's the kind of thing you're looking for, but I really like both...
You won't be able to have a DJ at the dessert party and I think they'd charge you for a whole separate reception if you moved somewhere like the American Adventure rotunda to dance. Why don't you guys all take the boat to Boardwalk after the dessert party and go to Atlantic Dance Hall? Sure, it...
We only had one. I made it out of a Styrofoam ball, a wooden dowel, fake flowers, ribbon, and some extra fabric from the flower girl basket. It was a last minute project that only took about ten minutes, but it turned out really nice and Audrey loved it. She still carries it around and calls it...
We only had 8 kids invited to our wedding, but 5 of them were three or under, so I was going to arrange a babysitter to be in our hotel room at the GF (where our reception was) so the little kids would have somewhere to be. Unfortunately, when I let the parents know, every single one of them was...
This is a really good point. You all know that I'm a major fan of Disney weddings, but I have seen some that just made me cringe. Everybody has different things that they don't like in a wedding. For me, it's super-revealing dresses on brides and bridesmaids or the use and abuse of lipliner. For...
How about photos with your parents?
This isn't a professional shot, but it's one of my favorites of my dad and me from the candids that our guests sent to us after the wedding.
