    Which park?

I'd vote Universal Studios since Hogsmeade on the IoA side has some construction going on right now and there are cranes up in the background of Hogsmeade near the train station. Also Universal has rides and shows in a variety of intensities, and parades/a night-time show that can make for a...

    VOLCANO BAY.....INFO AND QUESTION THREAD........

I would get there early and do as much as you can without the express before heading to a concierge desk to load it. That way you'll be in line for concierge at the time when the park starts to get busy (after 10 am) and won't waste any time hitting the slides early in the AM! Your best bet for...

What Harry Potter Movies are a must before coming to Universal?

If you absolutely only had time for 1 more movie I'd recommend the 5th - Order of the Phoenix. It has a lot of the characters and creatures you will encounter in both parks, and explain some of the darker aspects of the story. You'll especially appreciate this if you go to Borgin & Burkes at...

    How About Some Introductions?

Hey all! I'm Sara, a Fall 2016 Professional Intern at Disney's Animal Kingdom Veterinary Hospital. I'll be living at Falcon Square. I watch a lot of DCP videos because the processes seem pretty similar. If anyone has questions about how PI's are different from DCP, send me a PM and I'll try to...

Can I have my own room?

:rotfl2: I'm an incoming PI and program housing is currently at Falcon Square. Did they have PIs at Buena Vista Place in the past? -- As a few people have suggested, having a roommate is not as bad as you might anticipate. If it's an issue of privacy, I've heard of people setting a schedule...

    First Trip (Honeymoon)!!! Help!

I should mention that I like the atmosphere of Trader Sam's (and they have pretty good food!) but my friends tend to prefer the Cove Bar at DCA because they have a larger drink menu. Depends on what you're going for. Or try both! Have fun!!!

Knott´s or San Diego zoo on Sunday?

Depends on if you are looking for a day of excitement or a day to learn new things. If you like thrills and excitement, go to Knott's Berry Farm. It's a lot of fun and different from Disney parks. They have rides for all ages, games, and shows. Plus you will be able to stay in Anaheim since...

    First Trip (Honeymoon)!!! Help!

Congrats on getting married!!!! You are very smart to ask around for advice because that is Memorial Day weekend and many people will have time off and go to the park. I used to live close to Disneyland and would often visit in the afternoon/evening after college classes, so I recommend on your...

    Majors?

The best part about Disney is that you can be in almost any field and find employment with them. Pick a major based on what you want, and you'll find it relates to working with Disney somehow. I think Business is a good major, and I bet many Disney employees have studied that. Some other...

Favourite place to eat in Universal?

USH is a very small park, I usually finish seeing everything at lunchtime, or just after, so I usually eat at CityWalk. I always go to Bubba Gump or Johnny Rockets because of the price. But if you're not from the area, Hard Rock Cafe might be fun. In the park I like Mel's Diner. It has a nice...

    Disneyland Cast Members

You sound like an A+ guest!!! I always try to be respectful and polite to CMs. They have a very strict system that's keeping tabs on them, so they can be stressed out. They also work long, unusual hours, and even the best roles can be very monotonous. Plus listening to looped music all day...

How cool! I know how crazy kids are for Frozen (still!!!!) so I'm sure this will be a huge hit.

    Disney Face Character??

It's always good to plan ahead, especially if it's something you really want to do! No matter what, go to at least 1 audition. They are always looking for different things and it might be something you can do! Just go! It's fun, it's an experience, and even if you aren't picked, it'll teach you...

San Diego Zoo best ticket prices???

The Go card is only a good value if you use it for SeaWorld and Legoland because they have the most expensive individual admission prices. San Diego Zoo is currently $46/36 adult/child Maritime Museum is $16/8 adult/child Unless you can get a Go card for under $60 it won't save you for...

Which days for SeaWorld and San Diego Zoo?

If you are interested more in seeing all the shows SeaWorld has to offer I recommend swapping that to be on Sunday. Weekends have Cirque De La Mar, Madagascar Live, fireworks, and night time shows for sea Lions & orcas. Other days still have the regular performances, but you have a lot more...

    Weather and Crowds in August

This year has been exceptionally dry and hot in Southern California. Last week many places were on fire - but hopefully that won't be going on when you visit! Definitely plan for dry intense heat in August, with very little (if any) wind chill. Attractions with outdoor queues are best during...

    TLMAUA: Quick Trip *some spoilers*

I think it was like in the 70's at that time... but standing in direct sunlight for an hour straight made it feel more like 100! There was an occasional breeze though, which felt fantastic! The weather's been so crummy lately, so it's nice to see it being normal (hot & sunny)
