Hey there, We're looking forward to our first Disney cruise. My DD is always reading the threads with helpful cruise tips, and making a list of her favorites. Today she told me we should pack our swimsuits in our carry on luggage so we can swim while we wait for our luggage to arrive. That's...
That and Cinderella were the only character meals we've done. I picked it specifically because it was supposed to be pretty quiet and my kids get really razzed in noisy environments. It was very quiet and nice with lots of hugs from Mickey and the crew.
I'm wondering if its worth it. We will have the dining plan in January, but due to our choices we will probably be paying for it OOP. From what I've read you still need to show up close to an hour early even with the fantasmic package.
I made ressies on line this morning but couldn't book fantasimic yet (oct 27 to nov 7). I called disney dining later in the day and they said they don't have the november calendar available yet, and hopefully it will be available later this week.
We paid for it out of pocket last year. This year we're paying for it again. I'm not certain if I shelled out the money for the benefit of my girls, or if it was more for my benefit. Either way, I personally wouldn't miss it. And yeah... its not about the scrambled eggs.
Thanks. This breakdown ought to be added to the loop conversion sticky at the top of the page. Its very helpful.
And thanks also for the reminder. Yes, I know I'll have a good time even if I'm 30 paces further away from the comfort station.
I know... everyone asks about which loop is better, and it gets kind of tiresome. Still... I'd like to make my ressies today and I just need a few 'don't worry, you'll have a great time whichever loop you get' kind of reminders.
I have a pop-up and I'm a cheapskate. That means I'm drawn...
I made a chart for what my family of 2 adults and 3 children would eat if we were paying OOP. We are similar to your family as far as trying to eating frugally. We will generally do b'fast at the camper (cereal and milk, because that's what the kids like to eat for b'fast) and then we'd need...
I think technically you're only supposed to fill it at the resort where you bought it.
The last time I was at FW you could refill with coffee at the Trading Post. There may have been other drinks there as well, but we only used it for coffee.
The camping board is where the FW experts...
I keep trying to decide how it ranks as far as value for TS credits. The fact that there's no additional OOP expense associated with it makes it a good value to me. The price of the meal may be slightly less than the price of 2 other table service meals, but figuring two other meals for my...
I'm in the pre-planning stages and have created a plan for how we would eat if we were not on the dining plan, to compare to the cost of the dining plan. We are a frugal family with 2 adults and 3 young scant eaters. So, for example, going to a buffet that runs $15 per kid is just not going to...
My dd will only be 7 when we are there, so I've been looking at other options. One place I found is called Horse World, and allows younger riders and also has more advanced rides for more experienced riders.
