anyboby ever been to DW in November??

Love November. Great weather as others have said. You will probably want a light jacket at night. And don't forget Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at MK. Christmas cookies, hot cider...and snow in central Florida!

    Restaurants near Windsor?

One of our favorites is Longhorn Steakhouse. There are 2 of them, both on 192/Irlo Bronson. One is a couple miles west of Windsor out by a newer Super Target. The other is east a few miles in Kissimmee. There are a ton of other places all along 192 - Macaroni Grill, Cracker Barrel, Bob Evans...

    Seating at Quick Service Restaurants

Haven't had a problem at Pecos Bill's before. The times when we go, El Pirata y El Perico is usually closed for the season so they use it as overflow seating for Peco Bill's. We have had to do a bit of jockeying at Cosmic Ray's more than once to get a table, though.

    Coral Reef opinions

Looks like I'm in the minority based on other's opinions, but this is one of our favorite places. A "must do" every trip. Love the pan-seared seasonal catch. The New York strip and the mahi mahi both very good. I also really like the lobster bisque. Coral Reef has gotten some questionable...

Have you taken a break from the Disney Parks?

Yep, we always take at least one non-park day where we go out adventuring. Sometimes we just get in the car and drive and see where it takes us. Last trip we headed out to Clearwater, walked around Clearwater Beach for a bit, then drove down the coastline through all the little seaside towns...

Who has the best WINGS in WDW?

Why, Tinker Bell, of course! :tinker: (Sorry, couldn't resist...)

More Excited than a 26 Year Old Should Be on This Reservation...

Wow, that would really stink! I'm guessing they mainly do that in the summer months based on last minute crowd projections. Was it a particularly busy time in December? We typically go in late Feb or late Oct/early Nov and have thankfully never run into that. Thanks for the heads up on that...

    Longer Trip (10+ days) Itinerary?

When we go for 10+ days, we generally take our time and don't try to cram too much into a day. We'll go through and plan what park we want to do in the morning and what park we want to do in the evening. We'll hit the morning park at or just after rope drop, hang around until the crowds get...

Airfare..would you wait or book now?

Sort of in the same boat. We're looking to fly out Oct. 26 and are debating if we should book now or wait. Round trip is $395 per person from Milwaukee. That's really high compared to what I've paid in previous years for approximately the same time frame. I'm gambling that it'll go down a...

Getting a walk-up at LeCellier...and saying no thanks.

I'd say they made the right choice. 25 minutes IS too long to wait for an overpriced, bland yet overly salty meal served by a lackluster wait staff. :rotfl: But seriously, a 25 minute wait for TS without a reservation is nothing at WDW, especially a place that is constantly filled like LC...

More Excited than a 26 Year Old Should Be on This Reservation...

Completely agree! We're both 38, no kids, and I think we have as much fun at CP as the kids do. I can truthfully say we're just as excited. (Maybe even a little more excited than the kids...)

    Windsor Hills to MCO

Can't say for MCO to WH because we always make a few side stops before we get to WH. From WH back to MCO, we used to go 417, but last time took I4 to 528 and were there in just about 30 min's. That was leaving around 7:00am for a 10:00am flight on a Saturday. For some reason I liked the I4...

from wbc to hoop dee doo

Assuming you're driving to FW, I'd say plan to leave WBC no later than 6pm for the 7:15pm show. It'll take about 10-15 min's to drive to the FW parking lot. Then from there, you take a bus back to the "Settlement" within FW. That bus ride takes about another 10 min's, but sometimes you have...

    So now what??

Whenever we plan our next trip, one of the "rituals" is to put together a spreadsheet that shows the hours for every park, which parks have extra magic hours, after hours parties, etc. for the days we'll be there. Then we plan out which park we'll go to in the morning and evening each day...

    Hidden Gems...

Not exactly hidden, but in the Germany pavillion in Epcot WS, we always have to stop in to the Karamell Küche shop and get a cream filled caramel roll. It's kind of like a caramel buckeye, but the caramel is so light and tasty and the marshmallow cream is fantastic!

Anyone else not like the whole wheat buns at counter service???

Horrible. One of my favorite CS meals used to be the cheeseburger at Cosmic Ray's in MK. I loved loading up the burger with lettuce and tomatoes and mushrooms and pickles. But with the whole wheat buns, you take 2 bites and you're left with a messy pile of rubble as the bun disintegrates in...

Who has the best steak in Disney?

Maybe not "the best", but believe it or not, Coral Reef at Epcot has a pretty darn good grilled New York strip. Better than the steak I got at Le Cellier. And the ambiance is way cooler.

More Excited than a 26 Year Old Should Be on This Reservation...

You'll love it! CP is our favorite breakfast and always a "must do." We always get an early time so I can run around like a nut and snap all kinds of photos of Main Street USA and Cinderella Castle. Enjoy!

What is up with Country Bears?

I'm convinced that if you try hard enough, you can probably find something to be offended about everywhere you go. If you're offended by the thought of a big, fat, robot bear....sorry -- an audio-animatronic bruin with a glandular disease -- singing a song about blood on a saddle, you'll...

Windsor Hills - still a great place to stay?

We were there last October and it was great. Grounds were well kept and I didn't notice anything in disrepair. The one change we noticed from previous stays is that if you call a local restaurant for a delivery, you must now call the guard house and alert them of your address and the...
