We stayed at North Beach Plantation (http://www.northbeachrentals.com/) in North Myrtle Beach last year and really enjoyed it. It's right across the street from Barefoot Landing (http://www.bflanding.com/) which has a bunch of restaurants, shopping and entertainment.

We went for their afternoon tea a few years ago. It was $10 a person and included fruit, little tea sandwiches, muffins, a cupcake and hot chocolate. I didn't think the food was bad and it was such a fun experience for my daughter. I would definitely recommend doing it at least once.
