    Universal newbie

That's the beauty of Universal, you don't need a book. You can make it as relaxing or hectic as you like. We (myself, husband and young adult children) sleep late, walk leisurely to the boats, cruise over to the parks and what is great about Universal is you don't even have to pick a park until...

Another 18 nights RPR, just the two of us & HHN (2015 Trip)

I'm beginning to get sad that you trip report is going to end soon! :guilty:

Another 18 nights RPR, just the two of us & HHN (2015 Trip)

When I read the first post in your TR, I knew I was going to like you! We also always stay at RPR (with EP and never a que) and the days of making the trip just the two of us are looming! (Son just graduated from college and daughter just started) We are headed down in January, planned around...

Are you Excited about the future of Universal/IOA?

Am I excited about anything new at US/IOA? I'm excited about everything! Admittedly I'm a HUGE HP fan... But I'm also a fan about tons of the other rides/attractions at both parks! We were last there in 2010 when our son graduated from high school and we celebrated our 20th anniversary. I'm now...

Is it worth the trip to see WWoHP?

Just so disappointed in all of you... the WWofHP is AMAZING!!!!!!! There is no Disney experience that compares. If you and your kiddos grew up on Harry, if you ACTULLY READ the books, if you ACTULLY watched the movies.. you are going to be so excited, want to see next movie so bad... skip all...

    HRH to MCO

That is why I did the taxi this time. Last year we did the Mears round trip and had to leave at a specific time and had to pick up/drop off different hotels. Definitely not time efficient! Just grabbing a cab was actually cheaper and much much quicker!

    HRH to MCO

We were there Labor day weekend, walked out of MCO and grabbed a cab to HRH (was a town car from City Cab). The cost was 51.55, with about an 20% tip. Ask for a cab at the front desk at HRH, it was a minivan this time (Mears). Total was 45.90 with 20% tip. So round trip for the 4 of us was...

HRH club or std help needed

If you are staying at an on-site hotel so that you can eat at club level then go for RPR and not HRH. HRH is closer to the parks, has amazing theming, but the "club 7" is just small and really not too impressive (as far as food goes) the staff is great, happy hour is great! but food wise and off...

    HARD ROCK HOTEL information

First - if you are spoiled and already know about on-site FOTL passes, go for it. Otherwise, if you go in the off season, you probably will just get a glimpes of the peope who always get on b4 you and wonder why?? lol Second, HRH club was most definitely least impressive of HRH and RPR. RPR...

    Good guide for WWOHP?

I am actually a Web Design and Development student and our project this quarter was to build a "how to" site. I did a "How to navigate the WWofHP". When I get it all uploaded, I'll post as it is specifically designed to do just what you asked.

    Modfied Seating on FJ

It depends on the type of bag apparently as I road many many times with a fanny pack. I did see people with camera bags turned down the lockers (also with a pass right back up), but I road with my fanny pack over and over. (Not modified though, regular sized)

Election day at IOA- are schools out?

Henry Co. Georgia schools are closed that Monday and Tuesday. Hmmm... maybe another quick trip?? haha

    airport transportation

Personally.. We walked off the airplane, grabbed our bags and walked out the ground transportion door. Walked to the first cab stand and asked to go to US - Hard Rock.. They said.. $35-$40.. they were right on, with tip I paid $48.. When we were ready to go back to airport, asked bellhop...

Club level at HRH vs. RPR

BIG difference for us.. We stayed at RPR (club level) in 2008 and first thing, it was HUGE (club room)!! In the evenings they offered several pasta dishes, chicken wings, and several other "full meal" type foods. They also had bottled water all day with the fruit and extra cereal. They were so...

What did you buy at WWOHP?

I must admit I didn't look at all the shirts. But I will say that most all I saw was more geared more towards "houses" than actual characters. All of the animals were represented, ie.. Buckbeak, Hedwig, Pygmy Puff.. etc.. But otherwise, most merchandise was geared towards houses. Robes, ties, etc..

    Harry Potter- Wizarding World FAQ

It took us several times on for me to even identify it! It is in the back of the seat where your lower back goes. I never did open it, but it looks to be big enough for a camera/sunglasses etc. no problem. I did wear a fanny pack though with no problem and my son had cargo shorts with...

    Please expalin WWoHP wands

My 13 year old daughter who has seen the movies, but hasn't read the books... LOVED Snapes wand.. she took it to school when we got home and her friends LOVED it!! My 18 year old would have let it go had I not surprised him with one, just because he and I started the whole Harry Potter thing...

What did you buy at WWOHP?

I was just talking to a friend about this, there was a Quibbler sort of thing, but no Lund wand. Can you just imagine her wand? It would be the most interesting I am sure. They could even carry converse tennis shoes (that look like Luna's) or something. But I didn't see anything else Luna...

Rides/shows that are not kid appropriate

If she doesn't like loud noises like fireworks then I wouldn't do T2, the content will go over her head though as far as being actually scary. It is more serious than scary. If she has read the Harry Potter books or seen the movies and understands it, then it won't be scary either (womping...
