Disney News, Discussion & an Element of Fun - 2022 Edition

There are no ties laid down yet. They likely put the rails outside of where the ties will be placed. They can then move the rails into their proper position.

    News Round Up 2021

Typically, health codes require trash cans to have closing lids. Nice that things are returning to normal.

    First Floor Critters Concern?

Have only seen snakes along the paths late at night, none near the rooms. Did however have a nosy duck that wanted to get into the room almost everytime we opened the door.

Here now - The Most Annoying Thing

Most of the CM's just say "Mickey to Mickey" as you walk up. The bands are very finicky as to reading at tapstiles and paypoints, but seem to work flawlessly at FP's.

    Stuck on rides? Splash Mtn

Stuck on Jungle Cruise for about 20 minutes when the boat died. It was during a sub-tropical storm and the rain was coming down in buckets. The skipper was a champ as she kept us entertained the entire time. They finally brought out another boat to tow us back. She continued the entire spiel...

At the time of our tour it was the family style all you care to eat skillet, but it may have changed. Hopefully someone who took the tour recently can fill you in on current details.

    The day before you go...

I would rather work the day before and take a day or two after off to recover or have a cushion in case of any travel delays.

Backstage Magic tour-just booked it anyone done it before??

DW & I did this tour back in 2008. Well worth the money. Not sure what they visit now, but we saw a lot of things that surprised us. As for your dinner ressies, we were stuffed after lunch at WCC and barely ate a sandwich at dinner time.

    Is MNSSHP worth it?

Where else could a pair of adults go Trick or Treating without feeling silly. You'll have a great time, plus the decorations, shows and characters are different from what you would normally see.

    MNNSHP for adults/no kids?

It's fun to be 50 something and Trick or Treat without feeling out of place.

Are waterparks fun even without doing rides?

I could float in the lazy river at TL all day long. The wave pool is OK if you stay out of the deep areas when the big waves come.

    Stuck on rides...

Most recently we were stuck on Jungle Cruise for about 20 minutes near the waterfalls on a day we were having tropical rains. Skipper did a wonderful job keeping us entertained as we were being towed back to dock.

Sticky wings from Kona, followed closely by Zebra Domes.

7 hour Backstage Magic Tour-Any opinions?

Took Backstage Magic about 3 years ago. It did not ruin the magic for us. We have always been interested in how things work, and this tour shows just how much goes into creating the magic. It makes you appreciate it even more.

Warm Chocolate Lava Cake with Baileys Ganache (Ireland) - Excellent ... my wife almost licked the plate. Wouldn't have minded if it was a little bigger though That's funny. I asked my wife if it would be rude of me to lick the plate.

Just back -- my review of POFQ

We were there 10/5-10/12 and experienced the same things. At least you missed the monsoon rains on Saturday the 8th.

Comments on the Tiki Room change

UNM was at least tolerable. The "original" version is downright boring. Disney would have been better off scrapping this attraction and replacing it with something new.
