I was on Oasis last week. No problems; there was none of the 'virus protocol' in effect where you can't serve yourself at the buffet and salt&pepper shakers are taken off the tables, etc. I think if you're unlucky enough to be on a cruise with folks who don't practice good hand washing...

It's not a big deal. Carnival works that way too. I bought a set of turkish towels for us to take on cruises specifically for our excursions. They are thin (but absorbent) and take up little room in the beach bag or backpack. The Royal towels are pretty large.

I'm currently on Oasis of the Seas. We made it into Falmouth and the dock beside us remained empty all day as it was intended for DCL. DCL was not bumped out by RCCL.

There's just 4 of you? Just board with your parents. I don't think it's worth a worry. It's not like there are 20 of you trying to board with platinum.

It's round trip... it doesn't matter. If you don't have the view going up, your side will see it going back. In Tracy Arm, they rotate the ship around so that everyone gets views. IMO a balcony is worth it for Alaska!

The "compass" for the kids clubs are completely separate. The kids clubs are more separated by age... instead of 3 - 12 like at DCL, it's 9 - 11 for example. So the separate kid's compass will list what's going on with each of the age groups.

I just got back from Freedom of the Seas -- they have actual packets of hot chocolate mix plus hot water available for free with the coffee and tea. Just pop over to one of the drink areas!

I am a big fan of packing cubes. I have a different color for each member of the family. I unzip the cubes and put them either right into a drawer or onto a shelf. I have various sizes of the ebags brand.

I have been to Nachi Cocom twice. I really liked it; the food is good, service is attentive, and the limit on number of people is great. I saw kids in the pool there both times I went; if it's adult-only, that must be new. I got a massage there both times and it was sooo nice!

Don't forget that you need to make advance reservations for time in the nursery. You can make sure to visit the potty before your scheduled nursery time.
