We've been going to Holden Beach, NC for 10 years. There are many rentals right on the beach. It's a quiet, family beach and we love it there. It's close enough to Myrtle for a day trip.

We've never been to the general store on the island. If you have Facebook check out the Holden Beach Surf & Alan Holden Vacations page. I'm sure someone on there would know the prices to fish and also more about the general store.

You will love Windsor Hills!! I was just there 2 weeks ago helping my sister decorate her new condo. It is very close to Disney, the grounds are kept beautifully, the pool is fantastic and it feels very safe there. We'll be staying there on our trip next year. Here is her website if you need...
