Maybe a dumb question about N. European cruises...

We went in May and yes the pools and slide were open. I didn't go in the pool but I did use the aquadunk on our sea day. It was cold and windy and I think there were about 4 or 5 of us riding over and over. I don't remember seeing many people in the pool. The water in the aquadunk wasn't cold...

    Water Parks by yourself.

Would you go to a Disney water park by yourself? I've been to all 4 Disney Theme Parks by myself many times and I love it but I've never been to one of Disney's water parks and I'd really like to experience them. I'm unsure about going alone for many reasons. One being the safety aspect about...

    Don't understand. Please explain...

Was just switching up a few words in the original post to point out the silliness in all of this.

    Don't understand. Please explain...

love Disney and like Sleeping Beauty just fine... But at MK and the stage show with Maleficent coming on the stage with pounding aggressive music (scary to young ones) seems very satanic as she appears on stage (similar to the devil) He is the bad guy right? What is the attraction to all...

Really? The hysteria is just getting ridiculous.

    Opinions on Epcot Arts Festival?

I went this past Sunday and I had a great time. I had read such poor reviews of the festival that my expectations were set really low but I actually ended up liking the event. The food seemed to be mostly sweets so I just stuck to the sweet drinks to sort of get a 2 for 1 experience. The drinks...

Palo Brunch too stuffy for a country boy?

While dinner at Palo did feel a bit "stuffy" the first time I did it the brunch was actually very casual. It's like any other buffet just a little more organized. You get a tour of all the food stations and you can get up and get food as many times as you want. You just have to order your "main...

    Poll: Which would you choose?

I normally prefer a cabin with a balcony but if both cruises cost the same (including airfare) I'd pick the Mediterranean with an ocean view. The Med is so port intensive you won't be spending much time in your cabin anyway.

    Table mates or no?

Disney does a great job at pairing families. On our first cruise when I sailed with just my partner they sat us at a table with another adult couple our age. On our next trip when my mother came along they sat us with another multi-generational family of adults traveling with their spouses and...

    Is MVMCP worth the price?

I've done the Halloween party before but this was the first year I did the Christmas party since I couldn't make it to the parks this October. I always felt the Halloween party was more "worth it" due to the costume and trick or treating aspect of it. The Halloween party was an "event", not just...

    Epcot was crazy today

Yeah, the amount of people was insane but the waits for FW booths weren't that bad. Honestly, I've had longer waits during lower crowd days. They were running very efficiently.

AK Shows... if you had to pick one?

Nemo is a Broadway style show with mediocre songs. The puppetry is nice and the obviously talented cast is appreciated but Zzzz. In the Florida heat a nice dark and cold theater with fish is the perfect place for a nap (good luck in those seats though). Lion King is a lively circus style...

For those going soon...they're baaaack...tour groups

My rule is that whenever I see people in matching shirts I go in the opposite direction. Honestly my only real problem with these groups is the chanting. Disney should not allow group chanting inside the parks. At the very least they can enforce a rule that chanting is not allowed while waiting...

Day Tripping to EPCOT Food & Wine Festival?

Honestly, I'm a fat as* who loves to eat until I'm feeling sick and even I can't do Food and Wine in one day. There is no way I can try everything I want in just a few hours. I always do at least two days. I drive up from Miami on Saturday morning, stay the night and then leave on Sunday night...

Heartbreaking news...a big reminder to be aware of wildlife on property

Actual sign at a Beach/Park in Miami. People shouldn't leave their children alone near the water, gators or not.

    Park Security

I was just asking myself the same question. After seeing the news this morning I was thinking about how instead of a nightclub a crazy person could just as easily head to the Themeparks and attack a crowd of people waiting in line to get through security or people waiting for transportation. I...

    "Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

I picked my spot at around 7:20 when I walked by the hub and saw it was getting packed. I was by myself so I just popped into an open spot I liked but if you have a group you're going to have to get there earlier. Theres like a 20/25 minute wait between the first show and the parade. I stood in...

    "Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

Didn't read the whole thread but I just wanted to say that if you're a fan of Hocus Pocus you absolutely can't miss the stage show! As a 30 year old man it hit me right in the childhood. The final musical number was amazing! I was expecting some bad imitations but the acting/singing was spot on...

Type of bag for carry-on ... restrictions?

It's a ship, not an airplane. As long as it fits through the xray machine at the port and isn't on the prohibited items list then you can bring it onboard. We carry on all our bags and suitcases and have never had a problem.
