    Flying with Multiple Schlerosis

It is no problem. She should let the airline know that she needs an aisle chair. They will have her transfer to the aisle chair and get her to her seat where she can again transfer. Tell her not to worry. Many of us who are unable to walk at all fly. Tell her to have a great time.

    herseypark

We are considering going to Hersey Park this summer. I am in a wheelchair and am wondering if there are others out there who have visited the park in a wheelchair. How easy or hard is it to navigate? I am able to transfer if the chair is close to the ride. Is that possible? Any suggestions...

    testing an idea

I think the icons are excellent. It is some much easier to determine if the ride will meet your individual needs if you can see the loading or transferring process and the icons. Excellent idea.

Questions about wheelchair accessibility in stores

I hope that you have better luck than I did. I am a full time wheelchair user and thought that I would stop at a local outlet mall. I attempted to manuaver the VERY narrow aisles of a kitchen store. I am very quite capable of getting through tight spaces but this was ridiculous. No one in...

    Which Value Resort

I too would recommend POP. I am a full time wheelchair user and had a wonderful time in August. I only had one problem with a bus that had a broken lift but I never had to wait too long. The rest of my family enjoyed the resort as well. Have a great time.

    handicapped accessible rooms @ pop?

I just came back from POP and had an accessible room with a roll-in shower. It did have a King size bed but it was a wonderful room on the first floor. There would have been room for a roll away without difficulty and my chair. Have a great time.

    Wheelchair abuse?

It is hard for me to understand why someone would think that being in a wheelchair is an advantage. As someone who is a recent disabled person I wish that I could run with the kids or walk or even stand. That is not going to happen but that doesn't change who I am or give me special...

How is bus service at Value Resorts w/regard to ECV's?

I just returned from Pop and I am a wheelchair user. It was wonderful and we did not have any problems. There was one bus that had a broken lift and was not able to accomodate me but another bus was along fairly quickly. It was a breeze. They are very helpful we were always put on the bus...

    Ohanas,WCC or Coral Reef

I too am in a wheelchair and have a child that LOVES to watch fish. It sounds that we will be put out of the way which is not what we had hoped for. Can the kids walk down to the tank and stand and watch the fish. It will not bother me to be away from the tank as long as I can still see the...

    Jiko Business attire?

Thanks Bill. My ALS is progressing at such a fast pace I think this will probably be my last vacation with the kids and I want to make it special for them and give them as much time in the parks. I hope to not have any issues with my chair or disability. I hope to have a great vacation just...

    Jiko Business attire?

Thanks very much. I hope that others will give me any other information. It is also my assumption that I will be able to remain in my chair and not have to transfer at Jiko. As I said I have no independant movement and would require a lot of assistance which I would hope to avoid.

    Jiko Business attire?

I was reading that Jiko required business attire. I am visiting in August. I have Lou Gehrig's diease and have no ability for independent movement. Since I am assuming that it will be very hot during this time I need to know if we will have to return to the hotel before dinner. This will...

Wheelchair users and Princess Storybook Arkerhus

I am confined to a wheelchair and wanted to know if anyone had experience with this restaurant and wheelchair users. It is high on the list of places that my niece wants to eat at but I don't want to be in the way. I guess I would also be interested in any other suggestions for eating for...
