About 5 years ago we stayed at Shutters on the Beach in Santa Monica and it was 5 star, walk to pier, Venice beach. Absolutely the best place if available.

We spent 10 days at Aulani last summer and they used colored plastic wristbands for pool/resort id, many guests were seen wearing many, each a differant color for each day, as a kind of badge of honor. I was happy to remove mine nightly.
