Would like to get a room as high up as possible at Contemporary. Last time (several years) we just asked when we physically checked in. I've read that it's better to ask in person, and I've also read that you have a better chance at getting a "preferred" room if you do the on line check in...

I'm not sure as it was a few years ago - but it did cost a couple hundred dollars - but I think that you can put 8-10 people on the boat, so if you have a group, it is very cost effective. I've even heard of people (on this site) sharing the cost of the boat (4 from your group, 3 from theirs)...
