We're a family of 4 and I think we spent $30 with tip. We went there thinking it would be one of our cheaper meals, but actually spent more there than we did at most counter service restaurants in WDW.
Hi everyone,
Last year we threw the birthday party for my four-year-old at a kids' gym. We really loved it, but I'd like to get away from doing that because we have two kids and I think it's just too pricey.
My house is small and my daughter has a bunch of friends and we like to include...
Ok. So the unit was repairable and we don't need to replace it yet. It is old and horribly designed and constructed, though so we better crack down on the debt payment and house maintenance funds.
Thanks for the info, guys!
We have a very old central a/c system that we're pretty sure has just stopped working for good. We have been working since November on paying off our debt. We planned to be done with the payoff at the end of the year.
If it does need to be totally replaced, I'm not sure if we should go...
I can relate. We decided to cancel our free dining trip for September. I was looking ahead in our calendar the other day to see what our month looks like and saw "leave for Disney" on Sept. 3rd and realized how much I'd love to be there. I'm sure it will make the next trip that much sweeter!
We are also trying to balance healthy eating with a budget. It helps me to keep in mind that if we damage our bodies now eating unhealthy, cheap foods we will probably pay for it down the line with higher medical expenses. a little prevention goes a long way.
Oh, no. My girls love to rearrange the stuffed animals there and watch the movie previews on their big screen (what's left of it). I was hoping they'd revert back to being Disney-owned. That's a bummer. That mall's appeal is really waning. Were there any good deals?
I believe that Undercover Tourist has good 10-day passes. The best deals are through the MouseSavers newsletter (one just came out).
If you don't go with the 10-day pass, you could always use your DVC discount to buy discounted PPP tickets. Then you could use your 1-day pass for a different...
It is really killing me to not use this deal. We have plans for free dining in September that we are cancelling because our quick/budget trip last week satisfied us. From Richmond, non-stop flights would be less than $400 RT for the 4 of us. We just spend $275 in gas to drive down!
I meant to mention that we saw lots of folks waiting for DTD buses at the Grandstand stop and the parking at DTD was really, really full- especially with cars with Florida plates, which I thought was strange for a weekday morning. I didn't put it together though that people were maybe using it...
Hi Leslee,
We just stayed in the Grandstand section in a studio last week. It was our first DVC stay. We really enjoyed the resort but had some of the same issues that you guys did.
I agree that the buses were slow. We waited over 1/2 an hour for an MK bus while 3 Epcot buses, 2 AK buses...
We last stayed at Pop and found the pillows to be super hard and really thick. My young girls couldn't even use them. We'll be driving down for a stay at SSR next week and I'm wondering how their pillows are? I'd rather not pack 4 pillows into an already crowded car if I can avoid it.
Thanks!
We'll be checking out of SSR and are planning on going to a P&P party before we drive home that night. Is it acceptable to valet park at the Contemporary (probably around 3:30p), walk to and from the park and pick up the car around 9:30p (after the party parade)? If so, does this scenario save...
We have Kleen Kanteens and really like them. No plastic and can be washed in the dishwasher. We got ours from www.reusablebags.com a year or two ago. They are having a sale now on the 27 oz bottles and the ones with the sippy cup adapters.
If you'll be there on Saturday, May 3rd, Shirley Plantation is having a homeschoolers day. It's in Charles City, which is maybe 1/2 hour away and is $7.50 for ages 5 and up. It looks like the registration ended Friday, but you might be able to call and still get...
