    At the Poly right now!

I am looking at the Poly for my next trip. The reason why it's crowded this time is because it's Spring Break in Canada. I know of at least 4 families that went down to Disney on the weekend.

    Alamo Code

It just gave me an AWESOME rate. I wonder if they are gonna ask for ID or something? Has anyone used this code successfully? I just put something on hold, just in case. Just got 5 days compact vehicle for $100 ($159 after taxes). ETA: This rate code also includes Collision damage waiver...

Question re: Debit Cards at Disney

Well, that could be because the ATMs in the US use a 4 digit PIN system, whereas here, they encourage you to use 5 or 6. So if you have more than 4digits in your PIN, your card may not work. DH and I are linked to the same account, so while my PIN is 5 digits, his is 4 digits, so one of...

Question re: Debit Cards at Disney

I'm leaving for the Dolphin hotel on Saturday  but SMRT me forgot to transfer our money from our ING account (where we've been saving it for over a year) to our chequing account. ING says that it could take 1 - 2 business days for the funds to appear in my chequing account. Now, I...

Canadians put the 'international' into BUF

You're telling me ... a trip to Orlando out of Toronto was costing my family of three $1400 CDN. This wasn't even a direct flight. I got return flights from Buffalo to Orlando DIRECT for $470 US. Factor in parking at the airport, it's a grand total of $510 US. I saved over $900. Pearson...

anyone near toronto fly out of buffalo?

Whenever I fly to the US, I almost always go through Buffalo airport. It's so much cheaper! We're going in August and I got flights on SouthWest for 3 of us for $471 US. This is opposed to paying $1300 CDN to fly out of Toronto. Considering that airport parking is only ~$40 for the week...

    Cost to Drive to WDW

Sorry if I wasn't clear. I'm saying that if you want to fly and it's too expensive to fly into Orlando that maybe flying into Tampa would be a cheaper alternative for you. I saved over $500 by flying into Tampa instead of flying into Orlando and to me, it was more cost effective than driving.

    Cost to Drive to WDW

We are going in August and for a family of 3, I haven't found anything cheaper that $1050 US. Someone suggested to me that we fly into Tampa and then rent a car and drive to Orlando. I got flights to Orlando (for the 3 of us) for $471. To rent a car to go down is $55. I saved for $500 by...

August 11-17 - Gospel Music Workshop of America (www.gmwanational.org) I will be attending that with my family. The main part of the convention is at CSR, with the Swan/Dolphin and the Contemporary as overflow. They are expecting 15,000 attendees.

    Yet another passport gripe...

Really? That's odd. I went to the passport office March 16, applied for me, DH and DD and we received the passports in the mail on April 6. 55 days seems like a long time to me.

    Tampa to Orlando?

I think I'll go with Alamo. I just happen to be staying at the Dolphin!

    Tampa to Orlando?

I can't find any decent fares from Buffalo to Orlando for my 3 person family (the cheapest I've found is $1050 for the 3 of us). I have managed to book a fare from Buffalo to Tampa for $475 (a HUGE difference). We were thinking of renting a car to drive to Orlando from Tampa. Are there...

    Is CAA equal to AAA?

From what I read, Piccabu and Fresh in the Swan and Dolphin offer 20% to AAA members.

How's everyone paying off their balance?

We used our income tax money to pay for this trip. Everything is already paid in full for our August vacation!

    Is CAA equal to AAA?

I was reading on another thread that if you present your AAA card at the Swan & Dolphin restaurants, you can get a 20% discount. Is that that the same for CAA cardholders as well or just AAA? If that's the case it might be worth getting one in time for my trip in August. Anyone know?

    Southwest Seat Sale

Sorry ... I'm looking for August 12 - 17. The cheapest I'm getting on SouthWest is $170 plus taxes. So far, AirTran has the cheapest for my dates. Me, my husband and daughter for $800 US, taxes included. I am praying for cheaper than that...

    Southwest Seat Sale

I pray that there will be a sale like that for August. Right now, I have my eye on AirTran, but I wouldn't mind if Air Canada had a seat sale around that time too. Unfortunately, my home computer is down, so if anyone gets wind of a "ding" for August from Buffalo, please post it here!!
