DBF and doing WDW w/ asthma

I was born with moderate-severe asthma that is set off by just about everything. When my wife and I went in April of this year, I had no real troubles. I take Advair 100/50 twice a day and kept my rescue inhaler on me - I think I used it twice, both triggered by passing by a rather heavily...

    I need professional help.

We went last year the week before Memorial Day and crowds were light and very manageable up until the Friday before Memorial Day.

Need an answer QUICK--is it really warm enough for the water parks in April?

Expect a bit of a chill when you first hit the water but as the day goes on it'll be plenty hot enough. We hit the mid 80s a few days ago.

    Ticket upgrade question

We're currently booked on a MYW package with 7 day passes with free PH/WPFAM. My questions are if we can upgrade to FL resident seasonal passes (yes, we're residents) and how much the difference would be. Would it be the difference between 7day PH/WPFAM or just the 7day since we got the add-ons...

    April crowds?

From year to year this depends on two things: Easter and Spring Break. If Easter and Spring Break are late, then the crowds are higher in April. If they're early, like this year, the crowds are lighter in April. I agree with a prior poster that late April/early May tends to be best.

    April packers unite!

We'll be there from 4/27-5/4. Planning to pack tons of sunscreen, mainly shorts and 1-2 pairs of jeans, a light jacket, and the usual stuff. Rain might be an issue, but we tend to just duck into shows when that happens.

WDW & August Heat-- what are your secrets?

I posted this on another similar thread, and I think it'll help you here. I live in Tallahassee, about 200 miles NNW of WDW, and in late August we tend to stay in the mid to high 90s, with heat indices as high as 110, and humidity around 100%. Having lived in the South for a long time though...

Quick Trip to Pop May 14-18 Bad idea?

We were there around that time last year. 45 min wait for Splash, Space, and BTMRR at the height of the day. 'Nuff said.

Let me take a moment to plug the shepherd's pie at Raglan Road - I had it last May when DW and I were on our Disneymoon - it's absolutely phenomenal! Can't recommend it enough!

    May - 1st week - Busy???

We were there third week of May last year and had average 15-30 min wait times. I'd say expect that for the 1st week this year and you should be pleasantly surprised.

    One more day

I'd recommend doing the other water park. Oh, and be sure to snorkel at TL! It's so relaxing and fun!

    Crowd in May

Two factors add up to large crowds at that point: 1) Florida schools let out the Friday before. 2) It's Memorial Day weekend. We were there with Memorial Day weekend at the tail end of our trip last year and waits (sometimes more than) tripled (from avg 15-20 min to avg 45-90 min) that...

I'd also recommend Narcoossee's - they pipe the music in and it's absolutely beautiful from the porch/dock area.

Would you go last week of April or first week of May

The latest Spring Break I have heard of ends in the first week of April. Many New England schools have the third week off in observance of Passover. Therefore, I would venture to suppose that the second and fourth weeks of April are good. Southern schools get out usually before Memorial Day, so...
