    Instacart as a side hustle?

Re cooler bags. The shoppers around here put the groceries in the regular store plastic bags and then those get put in a larger cooler bag which they bring to the door. When they drop off the groceries they just take the store bags out and leave with their cooler bags.

    Clearing out a family home

Thank you all for your kind words and stories. Mom’s passing was so unexpected and she never talked about the what-ifs, even after Dad died. I sat alone with her in the hospital for five weeks as she slowly faded away. I’m still trying to process all that so having to deal with the reality of...

    Clearing out a family home

Thank you, those are all great points. My sister was named Executor but due to her health issues she's trying to get that changed to me. No idea what's involved in that process. I will certainly look into an estate company.

    Clearing out a family home

I’ve just started with all of this. Mom passed away three and a half weeks ago. She lived alone in our very large family home even though Dad passed five years ago and all of us kids are long gone. She was never sick until she was. Lost her balance leaning over to charge her phone, ER just to...

"For 2,000+ Mile Round-Trip Drivers Only!" (Part V)

Hi, I live in Mooresville. Just wanting to mention just north of Mooresville, rte. 77 in the Statesville area (exits 54 through just south of exit 48), is a big mess with a lot of roadwork so can be a bit of a slowdown. Not sure if they had everything torn up when you were last through there...

TL, umbrella or shack current prices?

I booked a Beachcomber shack last week for mid-May and total with tax is $368.10, paid at time of making the reservation. It took me a few times of two hour+ holds before I finally got through.

Class of 2022- High School Parents

Our youngest son graduated from ASU last year and lived at Mountaineer Village sophomore through senior years. Great complex on bus route, very responsive management, cleaner, safer than a lot of his friends apartments.

Thoughts on flying Frontier (esp out of Trenton NJ?)

We fly fairly often Charlotte to Trenton as well as Charlotte to Orlando on Frontier, just can't beat the price. We've had a few delays, nothing major. Like others have said, there are definitely more comfortable planes but the ease of NOT having to fly into Philly or Newark works for us.

"For 2,000+ Mile Round-Trip Drivers Only!" (Part V)

I’m in NC about 30 minutes north of Charlotte. The Jonesville/Elkin Hampton Inn (Exit 82) is about an hour and twenty minutes from Charlotte( Exit 11A/B). IF you can be sure to leave the hotel NO LATER than 6:00am, you *should* be fine. Not sure when you’re going but the Statesville area, exits...

Official 2021 "Disney After Hours Boo Bash" Thread

Wait, what? Halloween tickets are available? I had to choose an alternate date this afternoon after 2 ½+ hours on hold because Halloween was supposedly sold out. Wonder if I should try to switch? (Not now of course.)

Official 2021 "Disney After Hours Boo Bash" Thread

Finally. I started calling shortly after 8:00ET using 407-939-1929, a number I'd written down somewhere along the way. Calls weren't going through, circuits busy, etc., etc. When I finally got placed on hold I waited another 2 hours and 46 minutes. However, Halloween wasn't available so had to...

Here Now & Just Back WDW Reopening Experiences Including Park Hopping

Depended on the time of day for us. Hopping at 2:00 we waited maybe 15-20 minutes if we didn't get on the first bus for wherever we were going. Hopping a little later at 3:00/3:30 we always got on the first bus to our next park.

Here Now & Just Back WDW Reopening Experiences Including Park Hopping

We went this past October and last week and the trips were definitely different. In October most people wore masks properly, stood on the 6’ markers in line, didn’t crowd up on you waiting for food pick up, more common courtesy. If someone had forgotten to pull their mask up they were asked to...

Cabanas at Typhoon Lagoon (Beachcomber Shacks) or Blizzard Beach (Polar Patios) for more than 6 people

I *thought* my daughter was going to Glow Nights at TL on August 29? Perhaps re-check the Disney calendar?

Anyone concerned about the Coronavirus in WDW ?

I'm about to cancel our trip scheduled in two weeks which is supposed to be the do-over from our mid-December trip where two of the four of us got violently ill. It started four days after we got there. Being that ill in a hotel room was absolutely horrible and the travel disruption part of it...
