    Japanese steakhouse question

DD & I had girls night out yesterday after school. We saw Madagascar 2 (which wasn't that great but I breathed a sigh of releif she didn't pick HSM3) and then went to Miyabi. We had shrimp & terryaki chicken. :thumbsup2 And of course DD is practicing being a grownup so we split a pot of...

    Poision Ivy @ WDW!!

I had a bad case right before our trip in June. It took 4 weeks for it to completely go away, and I still have some scarring on my arm and legs. I opted not to get the shot, because of a very bad experience I had several years ago from a cortisone shot for another bad case. Because of...

Joke gift for 40th Bday? Please?

For my 40th I got a gag cane from a friend...it had a horn on it and a bunch of other "old timer" type stuff. For my brother's 40th I got him a box of depends. I was trying to make him mad and it worked!

Life right now is about 100 times...

I am sooo happy for you. Ain't life grand when everything falls into place? :thumbsup2 I too went from being overpaid and underappreciated to being underpaid and overappreciated. I couldn't be happier. You can always learn to make due with less of an income, but there is no escaping a...

    I Loved HSM2!

DD and her friends give it a :thumbsup2, but I'm going to have to see it another 8417 times so I'll reserve judgement! I did really like a couple of the songs, and DD knew them all since we had to go out Tuesday and get the CD. She wanted to have all the words memorized before tonight.

    Can't wait for the debate!

I have read and listened to all of the Reps & Dems in the 2008 race, and also seen a couple (of BOTH parties) in person. NO Republican represents MY views. Hence, I will not be voting for them. My 'blanket statement' was made after much research, and was not a knee-jerk, 'closed-minded' decision.

    Yellow Mickey Ponchos

When we were there in June I heard a couple CMs say it was for security reasons...it's easy to tell if you're trying to hide something under a clear one. Don't know if it's true or not.

Commcercials that take you off guard...

I saw the gay version first, then the "regular" version on, of all things, "What Not to Wear". Boy, I really think they missed their target audience with that one!

    Can't wait for the debate!

To recap my post that you quoted: No Republicans accepted the HRC/LOGO invitation to discuss LGBT issues. That's true. Doesn't that make them close-minded? I will not be voting for any Republican, so the fact that they either were too scared to appear to their core constituents that they...

    Can't wait for the debate!

You could tell they had been pretty well-rehearshed in hitting the "talking points". Especially Edwards, who when asked a question about up to 50% of black gay inner city men having HIV instead luanched into a touchy feely story about meeting homeless gay teens at the LA center.

What funny things do they say where you live?

I just looked outside, and it's comin' up a cloud. We really need the rain because it's been dryer than a popcorn fart around here.

    Can't wait for the debate!

I agree; I was surprised at the format. I was hoping to see more head-to-head sparks flying. I thought it was interesting that Clinton, Obama, Edwards and Richardson all made a point of saying they could 'relate' to the oppression gays face because they are ________ (black, hispanic...

If you were a little girl in the 70s......

This is a hoot! I still have the 1st record I ever bought, from K-Mart, "The Partridge Family Album".. I still get teased about that...and I still know the words to every song. Even DD can sing "I woke up in love this morning"! My crush back then was Bobby Sherman. I even told DM when I...
