Not great though for those not wanting to spend the whole 14 nights onsite in Disney as presumably the DD 'deal ' is only for that timeframe. We have always split our holiday spending 5 nights onsite then 9 nights offsite to accommodate Seaworld, Universal and BG. There is no way we would stay...
Been watching the feedback for the last 18 months and still have an overwhelming feeling of sadness and resignation as a family we will be deferring our next trip for a good 5yrs plus. We tended to visit every 2nd year from our son being 5yrs old and were last scheduled for 2020 when DS would...
Wow having visited Disneyworld over a dozen times in the past but never since covid struck the whole trip planning looks so complex and expensive I would love to hear back from any UK travellers on how things are in reality. Understandably though people (including myself) tend not to revisit...
A word of advice when I called BA the call handler advised me to wait until BA cancelled the flight and then I could claim a money refund otherwise if I chose to cancel I would only be able to get a voucher to defer until a later date ( I think they said 12 months ahead). We got our email to...
Dont lose heart . Dont know who you were flying with but we got a full refund for BA and also from Disney and our deposit back from Universal ( had not paid the outstanding amount before this all broke)
Aah right - so 60 days out is still the earliest you can book - good to know for future. We should have been arriving 30th June but now cancelled and this would have been our FP window too 🥺
I have a a basis question - what do you mean when you refer to 60+3/60+4 etc? I know if you stay onsite you have an advantage of booking FP earlier than those who don't but thought that was 60 days - I don't understand what the + numbers refer to?
Thanks for the feedback. If I lived in the US I would feel different and take a chance driving there but its just too much of a risk travelling so far with a chance we won't be permitted access - if its true they will be testing on the gates. Maybe once a vaccine is available things will be...
So I came across this thread whilst 'grieving' the loss our Disney holiday in July. Have to say having £6K plus back on my credit card had given me pause to reflect on how expensive our trip had become - like many we just rebooked year after year but when I think a 5 day stay on site despite...
Good luck - I hope you make it. Ive come to terms with it now for our family but maybe with a bit of tinker bell dust you will get there this year :cheer2:
No I saw the writing on the wall and asked our travel consultant to initiate cancellation 3 weeks ago. Disney were brilliant and refunded full amount and BA also totally accommodating and refunded. I think they are preferring for people to accept vouchers to defer to 2021 but like I said...
Yes sorry to say it is the BA 2037. Was notified late last night and got straight on to them this morning and requested a refund rather than a voucher or deferment. In our case we were taking our 18 yr old son who is not likely to join us next year so didn't see the point of accepting a voucher
Great points Mission Mouse. We do have unlimited access (for 14 days though never use them all) and in past stayed at POFQ and OKW so never really made use of midday pool chillaxing options but definately worth considering when in the proximity to the actual parks
Thanks that is really helpful - We last stayed at OKW and visited DS a few times as a 16yo but just for restaurant experience
so I think we will prob opt for YC and visit one night by bus. Be good to experience a different hotel
Undecided which to choose. OKW has close proximity to Disney Springs so for nightlife looks preferable but never stayed at YC and we LOVE the Yachtsman. Only going for 5 nights before moving on to Universal so time is precious
