Balance Rewards - Walgreens program? anyone an expert?

Looking to use my rewards in the wisest way. I am topped out at $50 rewards. pixiedust::banana:So give me your best hints in how to use it best. Is it best to buy $50 worth of stuff (I'm sure I can manage that!) or break it down? $50 is only 40,000 points. I couldn't find much on the internet...

given up home phone, do you miss it?

I have wanted to do this as we haven't used the phone in a long time, and keep the ringer off (too many robo calls!). But was worried about internet access? My husband hasn't been able to figure out if we need it for internet access. Any help? I would love to get rid of that pesky bill.

New Signup Deal Prepaid "Serve" from AMEX

I didn't link a bank account. I just put my $25 up from another credit card. They didn't charge a fee (even though it says they can).

New Signup Deal Prepaid "Serve" from AMEX

Got my card today. Sure enough, when I activated it, it had $50 on it! I haven't tried to use it yet, but it did show up as an ad on this website, so it has to be good right? :cool1: I will take a free $25 any day! Now to get one for hubby!

    Current Restaurant.com code?

They haven't had a code like that in a while. And I haven't seen a code this month yet. They do have a deal where if you buy 3 coupons, you get a $10 one free....

Yes, it gets on your card fast! And you can combine the birthday and welcome reward. We did that last year when we joined online. No additional fees.

Comcast v. Dish Network v. DirectTV and do we need a landline?

I may just give up cable, but I know DH won't be happy with that, and I guess our TV won't work without some fancy antenna? Anyway, I've had comcast for over 15 years (or whatever it was back then) and it's gone from $55 a month, to $34 a month, to now $78 a month. I'm pretty much done with it...

any ways to save on Rainforest or T-Rex?

Yes, you can use the welcome reward and birthday reward on the same visit. Made for a very nice free meal for me and hubby last year. Also, mypoints does occasionally have the gift cards for them, but you have to keep checking.

Budget Buster -- New Teeth :scared:

Also, they wanted to do implants/posts, and we decided to wait on it. He is about 13 months post-surgery and doesn't see the need for them. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I'm sure he would love to answer anything.

Budget Buster -- New Teeth :scared:

My husband got full dentures last year - he had had a partial upper plate before that for many years. Make sure you have a good dentist. He should do a few fittings of your dentures. You should go back for a re-line in 6 months or so after your gums shrink. Hubby waited about 9 mos because he...

Diabetes Type 2 - please help.

Thank you all so much for your positive replies and suggestions. I am normally a very positive person (my boss calls me "pollyanna")...but this did surprise me. I am lucky enough to have a very supportive husband. We do the meal planning and shopping together, but he does the cooking. He has...

Diabetes Type 2 - please help.

I was diagnosed yesterday. I'm overwhelmed. Is there a good message board that will help answer my questions? I spent about 2 hours with the doctor and her assistants yesterday but I think I am in shock. Thank you.

    Vegas

Last time we went to Vegas (August) we bought a bunch of restaurant.com certificates. I think we may have had one meal that we paid full price for for the week? If you have a car, or are good at public transportation, there are a lot of options.

    Budget Employee Gifts

I shop for 18 staff members, male and female. My tradition is to get a pair of socks for each, and fill them with stocking stuffers. You can get some nice packs from JCPenney of the fuzzy socks, and even slipper socks for cheap with coupons. I fill them with chapstick (avon is great!), lotions...

    Durango, Colorado

I love Durango! The train is wonderful. You can also stay the night in Silverton and take the train back the next day. They have some cute hotels there. Also, a great dinner place is Sweeney's. It is on the outskirts of town, but fairly easy to find. Lots of fun places to eat along the main...

    Legal question

She should contact the medical investigator's office - whomever did the autopsy. The office in our community will meet with family members and discuss the findings. Is someone being prosecuted for the murder?

    Las Vegas

You can also check out restaurants.com for coupons for places you want to go to eat. Wait until they have 70 or 80% off to save the most. If you're driving, it will be nice. We had some wonderful meals for incredibly cheap prices on our last trip. The Bellagio fountains are my favorite "free"...
