    Priceline hotels?

Everyone --- The WDW Hilton near DTD and PI is a Priceline hotel. Especially during summer. Select a 3 or 4-star and bid around $99 for it, and you'll get it. I did this last summer and had a blast. It's fabulous, newly renovated, clean, spacious and a PERFECT location if you're off...

    Not seeing much about Chefs

The Chefs is more high-end food, often very cramped and crowded. It's very fast-paced also. At least that's how it seemed to me. Yes, it is family friendly. Everything in D is family friendly. :-) Double check the menu. I don't think I'd take a 5 year old there however.

Dropping hoppers to add water parks

The one-day water park ticket will likely do it for you. That is, unless you plan on going crazy at the water parks. Keep in mind the first day at the water parks is a lot of activity and a lot of sun. So it's often doubtful, even with heavy sunscreen, that you may find yourself...

    Memorial Weekend

Extra crowded, and indeed beginning to get extra warm in Florida. Shorts and tee-shirts for sure, and lots of sunscreen. Afternoon temps could peek 90F, with almost certainly a heavy downpour and lightning nearly every day. If you have time, spend your early days over at the water...

Question about light up necklaces sold at the parks

Yes, they are 5 bucks and all over main street as the sun starts going down. I believe the run on simple replacement watch/photo batteries you can get a Walgreens or Walmart.

Tom Sawyer Island & small kids??

It's pretty safe. The entire set-up is fenced around. But sure, anything is possible. Just don't let them go exploring 100% on their own. Or if they do, head to the left (across from Haunted Mansion) and let them go crazy inside the Fort. It will be a blast for them, and there's a water...

    autograph ideas

Try taking any old character pictures you have and get them turned into "stickers" using any of the cheapy photo printers online or at Walmart. Them, take them with you, get them autographed... and THEN.... peel them off and stick them onto your shirt and your kids shirt. You'll be...

    what's Disney's best kept secreat?

According to an inside MK source, NEVER wear a RED shirt on Friday's unless you are gay. It is an unwritten rule, like the G Days in June. Whatever floats your boat, and like it's been said, "It-is what it-is."

    cabin in november

Actually, November is one of the best, mildest times of year in Orlando. Mid-day temps around 70-80F, and evenings low 60s F. The campground is primarily large Florida (yellow) Pine with green needles, and pine-cones, and scrub oaks. A variety, including Live Oak and Water Oak. As such...

Wilderness Lodge vs. Beach Club Villas

Both are awesome and yes, pricey. You may want to check out the Cabins in FW. Pretty reasonable and comfortable accomodations if you like the feel of the WL (from what it sounds). Location can't be beat for convenience and access to MK.

    Wilderness lodge question

I second the north/northeast view. Either overlooking at the volleyball area below (right wing) or the geyser below (left wing). Both are a direct view out to Bay Lake and the eve. water parade.

    1st Year Anniversary Ideas

Yes, DEFINITELY include a note or card about having a romatic dinner a-top the Contemporary Hotel in the California Grill. Request a corner seat... and time it so you watch the fireworks above the castle... And it will be... well.... MAGICAL! :-)

    Poly or BC?

Go with the Poly. The BC is very nice. But gosh, for convenience sake, it's hard to beat the PV. Plus, the kids will love it. Especially the view... and at night. Among the greatest and most spectacular anywhere!

can disney give me AAA discount or do I need AAA agent

Not typically. Disney doesn't often give discounts. at least not on the individual-side. Remember, their rooms are typically at 90% occupancy rates and higher. Unfortunately, they have the attitude that if a caller isn't willing to pay a full Rack Rate, then next caller will. I...

Crowds in last week of August?

Typically it is very crowded at this time. Seems like there are always a lot of families with kids that go back to school after Labor Day. The weather is dicey also. Very hot and humid. Temps in the mid 90s, and certainly afternoon lightning and heavy rain. Your best bet is to hit...

    Golf Courses

Osprey Ridge, then the Palm -- the peace and traqnaulity and wildlife of OR can't be beat. But save your money---This time of year, prices are north of $100 per person!!! Go late in the day, around 4pm or so. There's never a soul on the course and he can even take you with him! Plus it...
