    Lunch dining at the Campgrounds

What's the best place to eat for lunch on a Saturday at the Campgrounds. We'll be there pool hopping to the pool near the Meadow Trading Post. Looks like the pool area has a snack bar, and then maybe P & J's Takeaway or Trail's End. What do folks think?

    Campgrounds Lunch Options - Saturday

Hi all. Hope you can help. We are staying at BCV, and planning to spend a day pool hopping at the Campgrounds. We know that the pool bar serves lunch. Anyplace else? PJ's Takeout? Trail's End? Not sure what is open when. How's the food - for the Campground pros - where would you eat lunch?

Alligator Incident Discussion/Fence being built at Grand Floridian?

I didn't think it was hazardous waste unclean, just you don't want it in your nose, mouth, eyes, open sores - unclean. Just assumed it wasn't properly aerated, and therefore not intended to be submerged in. He walked on the edge and his feet got a little wet. I'm not offended by the question -...

Alligator Incident Discussion/Fence being built at Grand Floridian?

Yes it is true, life is inherently dangerous. That being said, sometimes certain things resonate with a certain person in a very emotional way. We're all heartbroken for this family, but some people because of their experiences own it in a different way. Let me say this, I've been to WDW many...

    Coral reef or biergarten?

Also have eaten at both. Both are fun. At Coral Reef focus on seafood, plus you get to watch the fish. Biergarten is buffet, emphasis on German food, but I'd say a little something for everyone, communal seating, and live German music. We have a very social 11 year old who eats just about...

Best Restaurant Recommendation in the Epcot Area

We love Yachtsman for steak and Crew's Cup lounge at Yacht Club. We have had some nice meals at Blue Zoo also.

Alligator Incident Discussion/Fence being built at Grand Floridian?

Maybe better information about the part all guests can play to keep folks safe from the gators, mentioning that the feeding is forbidden and won't be tolerated?

Alligator Incident Discussion/Fence being built at Grand Floridian?

I have been reading reports here that guests feed the alligators at Disney from their rooms - presumably the bungalows and water view rooms. The animal experts have said the alligators are afraid of humans as a rule, but that when human start feeding them they become "nuisance" alligators who...

How do they close all the beaches?

I am reading reports that resort guests who can feed the gators from their rooms (bungalows, balcony rooms) are doing so. Further, that this feeding is making the alligators less fearful of humans, and potentially increasing danger for other guests. This is appalling. Guests should be...

Which restaurants would you call a "hidden gem"?

Hidden Gems: Tangierine Cafe (QS at Epcot Morocco) , Sunshine Seasons at Epcot The Land, Kona Cafe at the Poly, Sanaa at Kidani, Maya Grill at Coronado Springs, Tutto Gusto at Epcot Italy, Columbia Harbor House MK, and Crew's Cup Lounge at Yacht Club.

    Ferrytale Wishes Dessert Cruise?

Visiting MK 10/22-10/25 (I'm celebrating my 50th!), and really wanted to do the Ferrytale Wishes Dessert Cruise. Keep checking, and have spoken to reservations, and dates are only being booked out through the end of August. It's been this way for a month or two. Does anyone know if the Cruise...

Anybody use the new Disney Vacation Account fund yet?

It says you can't use it for DVC dues in the terms and conditions. Did you pay by phone or online?

Ian Schrager to design new Disneyland and Disney World Hotels

He revamped and freshened up the Gramercy Park Hotel in NYC a while back, and kept a lot of the existing traditional elements. It is beautiful, modern and also cozy, a great New York standard, and a wonderful place to stay. I know a lot of his recent stuff is more contemporary looking, but I...

Mod or deluxe? Price holding me back

I've stayed at SSR and CSR, and had a great room, some good meals and an overall nice experience. That said it was sunny both times, and it wasn't a big deal to schlep to the pool, front desk and bus stops, but think in bad weather, walking 5-10 minutes in rain wouldn't be so fun. We are DVC a...

Ian Schrager to design new Disneyland and Disney World Hotels

You found the link to the piece I read. I'm intrigued by the idea of them being based off Walt Disney's sketches.

Should my boys carry backpacks? And wear sneakers or water shoes?

My son, who is 10, would lose a bag the first time he took it off! We take one backpack, with a bunch of compartments, and my husband and I take turns with it. I thin shoes that will dry quickly are a smart idea for everyone - we all have Teva's. Kali River Rapids can soak you for sure, but I...

Today's NY Post is reporting that Schrager (formerly of Studio 54, and now hotel designer/magnate) is under contract with Disney to design hotels at both Disneyland And Walt Disney World, based on original Walt Disney sketches. Anyone heard anything about this? The Post doesn't always get it...

    Valet parking costs and discounts

Also, you don't need to have used TIW to eat a meal to have valet waived. I recently took a friend for drinks at AKL, and used my TIW. Just cocktails, but the valet fee wAs waived.
