We've booked a room at Pop for late August and on our last day, our flight leaves late at night. Is it okay to pay for an extra night, even though I won't be sleeping there? I'd like to go to MK during the day then come back to the room and shower before heading to the airport.

Driving down from NJ Nov. 1 and am thinking of trying the 81-77-26-95-4 route. Would like to stop for the night somewhere after about 11-12 hours of driving. I'm thinking this would be either NC or SC. Does anyone have hotel recommendations that aren't far from the highway?

Any recommendations for a decent hotel/motel on the way down from NJ to Florida? There will be 3 adults and 4 kids in all, so we'll need 2 rooms. We're looking for something cheap and clean, just to break up the drive.

I think for a solo trip, you're better staying on site. In all of my trips, I've never had a snake in my room, anywhere! Safety-wise, I think you're better off on property and you won't have to drive either!

Have a great time and take advantage of extra magic hours. I agree with the others - get there early! It's amazing how much you can get done in the first 2 hours when a park opens.
