    Where to live in Orlando?

I live in Avalon Park. Although I would choose Oviedo now. The schools seem good and there is a nice sense of community.

Anyone live in Winter Garden- advice?

I grew up in Hershey but we lived in Palmyra prior to moving to Orlando. I usually say Hershey too though :) We go back and visit about 2 or 3 times a year - lucky for us we are both teachers so we have the time off.

Anyone live in Winter Garden- advice?

I'm glad we moved now but it took me some time, it got better once we had a house here and started making friends. I sometimes still miss the small town feeling of Hershey/Palmyra and the season change. We live in Avalon Park, it has a nice small town feeling where you can walk to restaurants...

HIV-Positive Boy Denied Entry to Hershey School

What people don't understand about this school is that is completely free to the students. Parents/families bear no financial responsibility. The school pays all medical, vision, and dental bills. The school pays for all food and clothing. Furthermore, they cannot accept every student that...

Redistribution of Wealth. In his own words!

I thought this explained our tax system well.... TAX CUTS EXPLAINED: Because it's the election season, let's put tax cuts in terms everyone can understand. Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer and the bill for all ten comes to $100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our...

Is "Pro Choice" Actually "Pro Abortion?"

I am curious as to why pro-choicer's use the argument that they don't want the government telling them what they can and can't do with their bodies however, they'll gladly give their taxes to the government and let them decide what to do with their money and control other aspects of their life...

Any timeshare type of stuff to listen to at WDW?

Not trying to get flamed. My husband sold time shares at one time and every time someone comes in for the free gift your just wasting their time. I know it's nice to get gifts but someone else's paycheck depends on the sale. Unfortunately when someone backs out of a deal the salesperson also...

    Bed Rails?

I just saw inflatable bedrails for travelling. I will need something because my daughter wakes up and screams every time I try to lay her in a crib or pack-n-play. Both of my kids prefer sleeping in bed over their crib.

    Car Train from Washington DC???

Ot: Do You Own A Toyota Matrix?

I have a Pontiac Vibe pretty much the same car as a Matrix. We really like it and it seems much roomier than the Corolla as we used to have a Prizm Chevy's version of the Corolla. We have even driven to Disney in it 3 times from PA. Although we only had one child at that time.

    Wwyd?

We've driven from PA several times (hbg area) because my DH will not fly. We have also taken the auto train which leaves VA at 4pm and arrives in FL at 8am the following morning. Personally I don't think the drive is bad. My son sleeps a lot in the car hopefully, his new baby sis will be the...
