Need help quickly re: St. Thomas!

hmmm...so all aboard time in St. Thomas is 5:15? Thought it was 4:30; If true, that would be less stressful for us since our excursion isn't over until 4:00.

Heads Up! PWC (jetski) tours cancelled on CC

who knows? this time last year it was the parasailing that was cancelled on CC because of "3rd party issues". Those have been fixed and we are booked to do that on CC next week also. There's always plenty to do...think we will rent a hobie cat and flail around on that for awhile. Should be...

    03/29/08, March 29, 2008 Eastern Magic - Who else?

...have been reading this thread for a few days. Getting very excited for Saturday and thought I'd introduce myself. Cruising will be just me and DS (9); I'm a social invalid so not sure that we will make the disboards meet on deck 10; However, if DS hasn't made his required # of cruise...

Heads Up! PWC (jetski) tours cancelled on CC

We sail in 3 days on the Magic and I just got a call from Disney Cruise Line with "bad news" (almost gave me a heart attack)... Due to "3rd party issues", the PWC Eco-Tours Excursions on Castaway Cay are being cancelled. Guess I have $160 to spend on something else frivolous now :)

    Jet Ski for 2: $160 or $320

good to hear...I was confused about that too. We sail next week and I have 1 double booked for me and my son...guess that was right.

Need help quickly re: St. Thomas!

don't know how long of an excursion that is but the 4:30 time is "aboard", not "sail" time. I usually book excursions outside of the cruise line...we sail on the Magic this coming Saturday and I have booked a catamaran tour in St. Thomas that doesn't get back until 4:00 pm. I am comfortable...

    Mickey Pool on Magic

I was bummed on the Wonder last month that I couldn't go down the slide. My DS (8) broke the news to me. Not fair... :scared:

Adult with question about arcade - for me

on the Wonder last month. I tried that once (not on DCL) and learned that maybe i'm not as hip as I think I am. I don't think DS plays it.

    Need help planning vacation......

I use it all the time for business trips to boring cities and non Disney vacations. I'm taking my mom to Key West for her birthday in June and found good hotel and tour info. on that site.

    Can you dock the cruiseship?

Eased that puppy right in there.... I don't know why the Captain of the Wonder took almost 2 hours to dock in Nassau. :confused3 I could backed her in with only "minimal damage" in a few minutes. pirate:

    sea sickness

I take great pride in my body being a "seaworthy vessel" ;) , (I'm a captain & live on a boat), and I actually felt nauseous the first day & night on the ship. I was mortified. I've grown up on boats, dive, fish, etc. and have cruised before and am quite the braggert about being...

    new cruiser has a question

same here but it was just me and my son. It was fine for us. My mom wants to go with us next year and, if it comes to that (please God No), I'll probably upgrade to at least the bigger interior room.

    Luggage question from another newbie!

I didn't read all of the really long posts so don't know if this was stated... ...one thing I noticed was that we were given more tags to have Disney take bags off of the ship than on. In other words, we could check 2 bags each through Disney getting on the ship but were given either 5 or 6...

Question about onboard booking for future cruise

We booked just 12 months out (exactly) with no problems. ...but we book a Cat 11 cabin. However, if you are looking for the Cat 1-3's that book way in advance, you can book it on your own now and then switch it to the onboard deal when you're on the ship. Your revised rate and shipboard...

    spending money?

I know this has turned into a tips @ Palo thread and that's fine but I want to answer the original question...simply because I have an answer. ;) My DS (8) and I went on the 4night cruise 2 weeks ago and spent $800 on board. Included in that was a $250 spa appointment (I deserved it), CC...

    Formal night?

I would...that way you have time to stand in line for pictures etc. before dinner rather than using the time to go back to the cabin to change. As for us, my son isn't taking that tux off until I have at least 20 pictures taken and have had a good 4 hours or so to look at him and squeeze his...

    Formal night?

One of the main reasons I'm so excited about the 7-night w/ my DS (9) is that I get to put him in a tux. When else would you get to do that??? I'm certainly not willing to get married again for that... :lmao:

    Online Registration vs. Paperwork Mailed

I didn't get mine until about 10 days prior to sail but they came through Travelocity (who I booked with) so I assume that slowed them down by a few days. I think the standard is about 2 weeks prior.
