I'm going to Disneyland for the first time. I've been to Disneyworld and I know that there are many rides that both parks have. Is either park's version better than the other?

Does anybody know how much it costs to park at Disneyland and if it is a long walk from the lot to the gate. Do they have one of those shuttles like at Disneyworld? Thanks!
