My amazing servers and crew -- feel free to add yours!

OMG, we loved our servers. We (five families-15 people) were on the Wonder Jan. 20. Last year we (six of us) went at the same time and had Sunil (India) and Jorge (Chile), and they were great! This year we had Mariano (Chile) and Lorraine (Botswana); they were so much fun, and so good with...

    Elevator Noise?

We were forward starboard, cabins 6528, 6530 (second year for those two) 6532, 6536 & 6538 last month. We loved being near the forward elevators, never any noise.

    Best stateroom location

We were Deck 6, forward, starboard, cabins 6528, 6530, 6532, 6536 & 6538. We obviously LOVE this location. It's close to the forward elevators, and is a great location to see the Flying Dutchman coming into CC. We never heard any noise. Laundry room is nearer to midship elevator, but not too...

What Does YOUR DCL magnetic door sign look like? With other great tips for your sign

Great job, GMark2000. I have never been able to post a picture to disboards, but if someone can do that for me, I'll send them the picture of my cabin door (we sailed 1/20) and Fish Extender. We were in Cabin 6530. Or PM me with your e-mail address and I'll send you my picture. Thanks!

Picture of the Wonder going out today

Thank you, Buckeye Gal. I had been looking at Favorite snapshots on TwoPalms, instead of Snapshots/Past Snapshots. I also saw our ship when we returned on 1/24- So Thanks! :boat:

    Castaway Cay

The Flying Dutchman is still at CC (may she always be there). We went 1/20, and on CC we had our pictures taken with Captain Jack, Mickey, Minnie, & Goofy.

Picture of the Wonder going out today

Did anyone get a snapshot of the January 20 sailing of the Wonder? I keep checking Two Palms, but I don't see any pics of any 2008 sailings yet. I'd love to have that picture! It was a chilly sail-away party on 1/20, very windy. Monday in Nassau was blowing a gale, but CC and the day at sea...

    Comparing DCL to Princess Line

I enjoyed reading the thread comparing DCL to Royal Caribbean. We've only done DCL (twice) and loved it, but we were with extended family with young children. We thought (my DH and I) would try another cruise line just by ourselves. We're not particularly interested in gambling, so casinos...

    Noise level in the Staterooms?

We sleep with a white noise machine at home, so we brought one with us. But we were NOT bothered by outside noise at all. We could occasionally hear a loud voice in a next-door cabin, but that's all. Our cabin (6530) is near the forward elevators, and I was concerned the first time we went...

    Which building at Poly?

We stayed at the POLY both in Jan. 07 and Jan. 08. We requested Tokelau again this year; our five rooms were 2907-2911, on the second floor, with balconies. These rooms overlook the Quiet Pool. The room 2911 is the closest to the Lagoon, and our family that had that room had the best view...

    Question about Land/Sea Package

We went to AAA. We told the agent we wanted the POLY, and wanted a veranda on the ship. We got the POLY and cabin 6530 on the Wonder and loved it (asked for it again this year).

    Bringing your own snorkel equipment?

We bought snorkel equip. and took that with us to CC in Jan. 07, but when we went again 1/22/08, we rented the equip. there. We just didn't want to take up the room in our luggage. Cost was $20 or $25 (don't remember), but this worked better for us.

    Shows on the Wonder

We were on the 1/20 Wonder. On Sunday night in the Walt Disney Theatre was Ron Pearson (Comedy & Juggling), on Monday was Hercules, the Muse-ical; Tuesday was The Golden Mickey, and Wednesday Disney Dreams. All good, but don't miss Disney Dreams. It was Wonder-ful!:cool1:

    Land or Sea First??

We've done Land/Sea twice, both times with WDW first. So my experience is limited, but I like the way we do it. I SO look forward to getting on the Wonder, after the hectic (but wonderful) time at the World. And when our cruise is over, I don't want to leave the ship, but if I must, I'm more...

The Official Polynesian Resort FAQ thread!

We were in Tokelau last week. We had requested that longhouse again after staying there is Jan. of 2007. We asked for (and got) rooms facing the Quiet Pool. But either side of the building has good (sideways) views of the castle and fireworks. Our families had five rooms, second floor with...

    Recent Castaway Cay Swimmers

We were at CC 1/22 and it was a beautiful day. We sure deserved it after the tropical gale we'd had the day before (Nassau day). The water WAS cold, but I was determined to snorkel (we found the Hidden Mickey!!!), so we got used to it in just a few minutes. The air was warm, 80 degrees. The...

question about visiting Atlantis while in Nassau

We were in Nassau Monday 1/21. Unfortunately it was blowing a gale, so some of my impressions may be clouded by that. We had 15 people, so got rooms at the Comfort Suites. Still a lot of money, but cheaper than Disney's Atlantis excursion. The van ride cost $4.00 per person and took about 20...

The Official Polynesian Resort FAQ thread!

I'll keep calling, but a very nice CM helped me today. No code now, but she said I'd had one that had expired (who knew????) She said Disney notifies by phone or e-mail (hadn't happened to me), so I now know that it's better to call every once in a while to check on a code.
