When you go to make your reservations ahead of time, do you make a reservation for a particular day and time? If so, how do we anticipate what night we want to choose one of these dining experiences (so we don't miss out trying the main dining experiences)?
We are going to the expo tomorrow (first timers!). It will be me and two young sons - 11 and 8. I've tried to keep expectations low, since we are only going one day and they are young.
So, I have a simple question: What time should we get there tomorrow? If we get there at 7ish, that's two...
I am a WDW vet who went to DL on Wed 7/18 and DCA on Thurs 7/19. We had 2 day WDW passes from a free dining stay a couple of years ago. My wife and my passes were never activated; my DS6's pass had 1 day left with NE added. These were not park hoppers,
At DL, we arrived at the gate at about 715...
We are regular WDW visitors, but will be going to DL for a quick 2-day trip this coming week while we are in California visiting relatives. Feeling a little anxiety about not being as comfortable with our touring plans as we are when we are in WDW. Couple of quick questions:
1. Does Child...
Our last two trips have been with 8 adults and 3 young children (my wife's parents and siblings). We were on the DxDDP. Not only did we make RD everyday and tour commando, we also ate every one of our 20+ TS meals together. So, I think it depends on the family. There were definitely a couple...
Actually, in our experience weekends haven't been so bad. Midweek tends to be worse. I think it's because so many travel on the weekends (WDW is more for vacationers flying during the weekends, whereas DL has a lot more locals that crowd it during the weekends). I know it sort of goes to...
I asked a similar question recently, but didn't get any responses. More specifically, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas how a typical morning touring plan may change, if you were interested in TSM, ST, ToT and RR.
Any thoughts?
I know the Disney Store by us is selling an Oswald plush that my DS5 is realllly hoping the Easter Bunny brings for his basket. They also have a Steamboat Willie plush that is really cool, but doesn't carry the same "rarity" element as Oswald does.
Also, we met Rabbit (from Pooh) last summer...
I do subscribe to one of the touring plan websites, but I can't tell whether they've taken into account the opening of Star Tours II yet. We are going in July, and Star Tours is still listed sort of low on the plan.
I assume this is a pretty typical rope drop morning touring plan (this is...
Can I expand this discussion a little bit?
What about other scenarios where a family member may meet up with their family? Are certain situations more okay than others. We've been talking about rides, but what about shows, parade routes and meet-and-greets?
Let me give you an Epcot...
Boy, I hope I don't get flamed for this...
I wonder if Disney has ever or would ever consider doing the same thing with Mickey that Macy's does with Santa at their Santaland....that is, have the meet and greet take place in a small private room. But there are actually several small rooms...
The last seating for the character lunch is 2:25 and the first dinner seating (and first available F! package) is 3:30. Any chance the characters are still there by 3:30. What if we show up at 3:15 for our 3:30 ressie and are lucky enough to get seated? Anyone with experience with this?
Just got back from 11 nights on DxDDP for 3 (66 snacks!). I can pretty much confirm what most PPs have said. My father-in-law was a little confused by the snack thing and it took him a week to start figuring it out. That's because there are no real hard-and-fast rules except this one: if it...
We leave Tuesday for 12 nights - 1 1-night room only, and 2 multi-day packages. I was faced with the same choice, and I decided to use online check-in for the first night (the room only). Here was my thinking:
We are flying late in the day, so we won't ge to POP until about 9 PM. If it's...
I was actually wondering if the 3-D shows at WDW use the same 3D technology as 3D films in the theater. Toy Story 3 was the first movie to give kids-sized RealD glasses, which we still have. Would they work at Disney?
BTW, my DS 4 has never had a problem with the ones in Disney; just...
Just did this today to send diapers from amazon to POP for our trip next week. Called the POP front desk and they told me to do it this way:
Pop Century
Address (Can't remember it)
Lake Buena Vista, FL ZIP
Attn: (your name) Arriving (your arrival date)
They'll store it in their office...
Sesame Place, which is is essentially located right in the middle of a mall parking lot, charges about $14 a day for parking as well. Some of the spots are so far from the front gate that you could probably park in the "free" mall parking lot and have the same distance walk.
Every major...
We're heading down in August, and my two boys (1 and 4) would love to get something from a character letting them know how excited all their Disney friends are about them visiting soon. Let me know what you need from me! (We also had a July Disney-moon, 6 years ago - you'll love it!).
