I would stay at DTD Buena Vista Palace before I stayed at a value. It is really nice and the walk to DTD is right across the street. I think that they have busses that go to the parks or you could drive since parking would be free because of your AP.

Bar tables are first come, first serve. If they tell you a 2 hrs wait then ask for a bar table or walk to bar and see if any tables are open.

I know that at RFC AK its first come first serve at the bar and bar tables. Also the same at DTD at most of the restaurants.
