We visited a few times during our last visit in May 2013. We only had a few bar snacks, so can't really help you food wise, but if you go between 5-7pm its 2 for 1 on drinks! Just by sheer coincidence, we seems to manage to get there aroung 5.01pm....

Whenever we have gone by the Tunnel, we have never paid more than £100 for a return journey. I would be interested to see if anyone else has done what the OP suggested too...

We stayed at The Explorers in June. It was the second time we had stayed there. We got a free upgrade to the "Sweet Suite" on arrival (although I had previously emailed them about the possibility of booking a suite as an upgrade). The hotel is a little tired, but in no way dirty or shabby...

Hi Iain. As I understand it, if you are staying onsite, you can have any AP and the blackout days don't apply. And, yes, you can still book for a single person, then add other guests as 'room only'. If I am wrong, I am sure another DISer will correct me soon enough... Happy Planning!!

Yeah, generally it was a good trip. Just sometimes, small things leave a sour taste. You might have noticed us around the hotel... We had three generations of girls all dressed the same - every day!!!

Got back home yesterday from our 4 night stay at the Explorers. Here are our highs and lows... Highs Brilliant crossing on Eurotunnel. Lovely to drive on the French Autoroutes, so much better than UK motorways. Check-in at the Explorers started our few days of magic in the best...

I love it because it is the one that I can take my kids to! Like any other parent, I want my kids to be able to experience the things that I wasn't able to when I was young. I couldn't afford to take them to Florida, so Paris is ideal for us.
