I'm pretty sure there are some palm trees in the Alligator Bayou section of the resort, but overall there aren't that many in POR. I'm also pretty sure they use mickey paper plates, not plastic. If I'm wrong, someone please correct me.

Building 14 is in the AB section. It is also very close to the Lobby, food court, store and Ole Man Island.

For those of you wondering, someone else on this board posted that the refillable mugs can still be bought and the Drink Island is still open. The food court also does some kind of breakfast too. Boatwrights now does a lunch to go with the dinner and breakfast that they already served. Here...

I've stayed at POR many times and have seen tons of cheerleaders while there, so it will probably be crowded when you go. I too have never seen the butterfly garden, and I've stayed there 5 times. I think it's in the mansion section by Magnolia Terrace or Acadian house. I wonder if it's still there.

I hear the renovation will be going on until March or April. I myself was wondering what they are actually doing to it. Anyone who knows what the end result will be, please post!

I couldn't have said it better myself! Building 14 and 15 are the closest to the main building. As others have posted, once you know your way around, nothing is more than 5 minutes away.

If I remember correctly, there is a store in Downtown Disney that sells Frozen Coke, which is only a boat ride away from POR.
