With Apologies....is Black Pudding really that good?

Absolutely. Stornaway black pudding is the real deal --- stuff in England is nowhere near as good - almost tastes synthetic by comparison. It's not cheap but the Stornaway stuff is miles better.

Is Hollywood Brown Derby Worth 2 Dining Credits?

It is, but it can be noisy with kids! We love it and have had some of our best WDW meals there. We’ve done it on the deluxe plan with Appetizers etc.

    Dining plan

My sis thinks it might’ve been $80 per night per person - but you can check it out by plugging it into disneyworld UK site... For what you get, it’s worth it. Don’t use the credits on counter service though.

    Dining plan

Yes, I’d have to check how much it was but it was well worth it — you get appetisers as well as mains and desserts and you have no worries about the number of credits you have left. The only thing I would say is it is easier to do if you are either staying somewhere where there are many...

Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

I’m booked to go to YC in August. I love BC/YC but have only stayed in the BC half (on two occasions past 2 years). I would love to know what YC’ers prefer about the YC (e.g. room amenities) compared to the BC, to get me even more excited for my trip. I’m aware YC rooms have balconies, versus...

    >> Dog-Friendly Resorts FAQ <<

Do they still have dogs at Yacht Club? I’m going there in August (have stayed at BC before twice but not Yacht Club — okay basically same resort.. ) but I was hoping I would see dogs out and about with their families - I’m a doggy person! :-)

    Flying fish or Tiffins?

Like both. This year Tiffins won it for me (the short rib was AMAZING), but I have had two lovely meals in FF. Plus you get the Nomad lounge's lanai whilst you wait on your table... :-)

    Sanaa or Boathouse?

I like Boathouse (probably better for picky eaters, arguably) but we were blown away by the service, setting and food in Sanaa. Well worth a trip to AKL to eat there.

Which WS restaurants have views of Epcot's nighttime show?

Had a fantastic view (without requesting it) for Illuminations in Hacienda de San Angel. I've gone many many times and it was one of the best views I've had.

Why Do UK and Irish People Always Go to Walt Disney World Instead of Disneyland California?

Another 3x visitor to DL/DCA -- Disneyland Hotel and GC resort x2. I would just tend to recommend splitting your california adventure with other parts of the state if you go. Any we found the driving in the Disneyland/L.A. area actually to be easier than Florida (tho' both are overall ok). Last...

    Blue Disabled Badge Use.

Exactly what iris1910 says. I also bought a blue badge sticker in Halfords and hung it from the rearview mirror (on a lanyard) so the disabled sign was readily visible when driving into the car parks -- this saved any issue with having to speak to a CM to access the disabled bays. I still used...

Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

Thanks! We had a lovely — but at times very sad — time reminiscing about trips to WDW with our Mum. She was meant to be coming with us this time but passed away unexpectedly in early May. Before she died she made myself and my sister promise still to go. So it was just the two of us. 😞

Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

Hi folks. We are checking out today from Beach Club after 15 nights. We brought far too much sun cream, Tide, Diet Coke, water and Bounce and we’ve left the remainder over at the Tidal pool laundry area for anyone to take / use as they need. It includes a completely brand new Hawaiian Tropic...

Heading to Glasgow - Hoping for some help

PS. Obviously there are Five Guys in the city, but also other burger joints, such as Gourmet Burger Kitchen and Handmade Burger Co which are slightly more upscale that Five Guys but still typical American fare.

Heading to Glasgow - Hoping for some help

There is certainly the Glasgow City Tour buses that you can hop on and off. They go past the University main gate, so that’s easy to do. Sorry, I thought from your original post that you were looking to walk mainly. I’m not sure where the closest location to pick up the bus is near to Cathedral...

Heading to Glasgow - Hoping for some help

Glasgow Cathedral in the more easterly part of the city centre is not particularly convenient for some of the other sites, to be honest. It's worth seeing, but equally I think the University of Glasgow in the bohemian West End of Glasgow is stunning (the gothic tower, cloisters and quadrangles...

Ample Hills vs. Beaches and Creams?

You can get the No Way Jose at the to go window. I've done it a couple of times in May.

Ample Hills vs. Beaches and Creams?

You can indeed get the No Way Jose to go -- and it was still huge. We did it a couple of times. But I wouldn't pass up the S'mores Shake (alcoholic) which actually beat out the rest of the menu!
