My daughter loves roller coasters but due to progressive Ehlers-Danlos issues has an unstable neck and multiple joint dislocations so she can no longer ride them. What other rides should she avoid? I’m guessing they won’t let her wear her neck collar to help stabilize the neck on these rides...
My 17-yr-old daughter was recently diagnosed with RSD/CRPS. We are planning to rent a wheelchair and try to replace her axillary crutch with a HurryCane. She has also developed skin sensitivity to light touch over her hip (affected area) and was wondering if anyone had any other tips. Did...
My kids love chicken lo mein but at home they always order it "plain" - chicken and noodles only. Does anyone know if they can ask for it plain or is everything already pre-made? Thank you!
We will have a wheelchair for her to get around the parks and she will only use the crutches for getting on and off rides, getting into restaurants, restrooms, etc. Thank you so much for your replies!
My DD 17 has recently been diagnosed with CRPS and cannot put any weight through her left hip. She will be using crutches to get on and off the rides and I was worried about the moving walkways. Anyone have experience using crutches on them? Thank you!
I'm not sure if this is best posted here or on the Restaurant forum.
I have a 17-yr-old who will be riding in a wheelchair but will also have crutches and will be able to crutch her way into restaurants. When making my ADRs there is only an option for wheelchair accessibility but no place to...
Thanks for the info Callie and Minnie mum! Unfortunately she is 17 and unable to use the ecv in the parks. She cannot put any weight on one leg, so I figured her crutches would be easier and quicker for getting in and out of rides (and the restroom!).
We have always flown into Orlando International Airport but this time we are flying Allegiant and will land in Sanford. Trying to find the best (and hopefully inexpensive) way to get to Pop Century. We don't really need a rental car while we are at the parks and will use Disney transportation.
My DD can use crutches for short distances but we will rent a wheelchair for Disney.
Any thoughts on how to hold on to the crutches all day while she is riding in the wheelchair?
If we rent from the parks, is there a courtesy wheelchair to take her to the buses (Disney transportation)? or...
We were just there in December and we did not have a problem at all! All the waiters were fine with it. I have two teenager girls who are very picky, light eaters. We had the Dining Plan but paid out-of-pocket for kids meals at some TS meals and then used the extra credits for meals that...
Anyone know if Planet Hollywood is open for breakfast? I am traveling with my DD and her cheer squad to a competition at ESPN WWS in March and our itinerary has us scheduled for a breakfast there.... can't find any information/menus for breakfast. :confused3
I have two very picky girls, 13 & 16, who will have a hard time finding something they like on the adult menu and would rather have chicken nuggets. Is there ever a problem ordering (OOP) from the kids menu for children over 9?
LOL! Had to laugh. I was just on the Universal site trying to find out the same information. Why do they make it so hard to locate this info? :confused3 I am a Disney panner to the extreme (says my family) and really trying to make plans to make the most of our one day at UA/IoA!!! :scared:
We will be going to US/IoA for the first time in like 10 years! We have one day tickets for two parks. We will be there on Dec 10th. Any idea for touring plans? My girls don't really like HUGE roller coasters but will do small ones and would like to see the Harry Potter stuff and MIB. Not...
My teenage daughter has indeterminate colitis (definitely ulcerative colitis but can't rule out crohn's). She suffers from joint pain from the medication she takes and has osteoporosis. Being on her feet and walking for long periods of time causes her a lot of ankle pain. I'm concerned how...
