If you decide on a travel cot I bought one for my daughter through Walmart. It was good quality and she really liked it. It folds up and fits in a bag that looks like a camping chair. We took it with us when we traveled to a hotel and she used it at grandmas for naps. I think it was around $30.

Walmart sells individual sheets in various colors and sizes. I think I bought a green twin size for $3. Never looked but I assume they sell white.

We pay nothing except for very basic shool supplies for our 2nd grader (2 folders, some glue, colored pencils, a box of kleenex, etc.) They might send a letter once or twice a year from her class saying they could use some more glue or cups for snack time but that's about it.
