    Airmiles vs. Aeroplan vs. Avion

Remember the westjet airmiles are only good for where westjet flys. I only needed 1400 or 1600 airmiles depending on the non/peak season to Orlando! And I don't put everything on my mastercard, and have done fairly well.

    Airmiles vs. Aeroplan vs. Avion

I started collecting airmiles about 14 years ago. We also have aeroplan, too. The last 5 years, or whenever the westjet mastercard, I switched to westjet airmiles where I get 1 mile for every $15 spent. Huge Difference! Before switching. We redeemed 1 flight to Calgary to Salt Lake City via...

Has anyone used CAA to get a discount from WDW?

I found that it was cheaper to buy at the Disney Store in Canada, then at CAA, unless you were buying for Disneyland! We are here right now, and it's GREAT!!

Is it too late to to try TGM?

Thanks, I went ahead instead and paid $7 for the other plan, as I have used that unofficial book before, and it was great! I started my research long ago, so I do know which parks to avoid, just couldn't get the new 2007 book I was trying to rely on. Thanks!!

Is it too late to to try TGM?

I have less then 24 hours, and I haven't even packed yet for our family of 6. 5, 6, 10, 13. Last time we took the older two, with another family, and went non stop for the 7 days. This time, I don't have as high of expectations, is it worth giving them a try this late in the game? Thanks

Is the price Travelocity quotes the "final" price?

Well, I just booked one night at a resort, as we come in a day early before our timeshare takes effect, through travelocity, it was amazing the price I got! $105 (included tax) for 6 people on March 30, at Lake Buenva Vista, everything else was much more expensive and the same resort wasn't even...

I could do _____ or I can go to WDW

That's a great incentive! I used it today, on my child who is eying something, would you like this, or would you like to go to WDW. She choose WDW. IF only I could do that with my homemade chocolate chip cookies...Do I want this for my hips, or should I go for a long walk at WDW! :flower3:

So, whats the Tooth Fairys going rate per tooth?

We just got that book ####### for Christmas. On my third child, losing teeth. I alternated, first time twoonie- $2, 2nd time a loonie, $1 (the tooth is somewhere in the basement, we couldn't put it under the pillow!). I claim she needs the teeth so they can fly, love that baby powder idea...

Where do you draw the line at being too cheap?

I don't use them yet, either...but being a preparedness specialist...I think we live in a pretty comfortable continent. If all h*LL broke loose, and you couldn't buy the convience or after storing for too long they loose their stickness, I would want to have some on hand! :laundy:

Where do you draw the line at being too cheap?

When I see the calculator come out at a restaurant, when a friend needs to know exactly what she needs to contribute, and can't be a little generous. And when another person, returns items that are questionable after a few years of using it, back to the store. Or when I heard this one on...

Allowance: Did you get it? Do you give it?

As a child, I receive allowance off and on. My parents paid for my education, my father still teaches budgeting classes to struggling people. I earned money through babysitting and part time jobs, but I still think I would of appreciated it more if I was responsible for earning it. I'm a...

    Considering re-mortgaging the house

"You don't know what you have until it's gone. My most precious commodity is time, not money. At the end of my days, I won't be counting dollars." One of my favourite sayings is, "we all are given the same amount of time, it's up to us what we do with it." At the end of each day, what...

    Considering re-mortgaging the house

You've been given good advice. Yes, you can live and share experiences with your children, but it doesn't have to be a Disney experience...Disney marketers would want you to believe that. You still have plenty of opportunities to go back and experience the magic, it can be with future...
