Does your family wear matching outfits at DL?

None of us have matched on our trips, but my dad always wears a really loud shirt so we can find him easily if we get separated. Last time he wore a Hawaiian shirt covered with huge fish. Obnoxious!

New Al Lutz Article: Nemo Sub Update, Third Park, New Entertainment

:thumbsup2 I am thrilled to hear the rebranding to include the Pixar name. I adore John Lasseter, and hope that he begins to become a bigger influence on the parks. Also, we love the Block Party Bash. I hope they keep a Pixar theme in the new parade. Thanks for the update!

    2fer report; Vol. I

Hey all! My older son turned 4 on Thursday so we headed off to Disneyland on Friday. Fabulous day! I'm so glad I did my "homework" on this board and on other places. It really enhanced our day and helped us make the most of it! Our party: Hubby & me Our 2 boys (17 months and the 4...

    Does anyone remember...

I'm 34 now but I still fondly recall that ride. I absolutely adored it when I was a little girl. I kind of believed that we were really shrinking!

Your Best money saving tips for Disneyland??

I'm a local with only 2 kids, but even we pack our own food for the day. Not only do you save a ton of money, but you spend less time standing in line for food! More time riding!

"Disneyland isn't a place appropriate for an infant"

My mom always told a story about how I cut my first tooth in line for It's a Small World. We first took our kids a year ago. DS1 was turning 3 and I didn't want to throw a party. So we packed up all the grandparents and took both boys (3 and 6 months, at the time). The baby was thrilled to...

on average, how often do you go?

We do the 2fers so twice a year (DS1's birthday and spring break). But we also went for DS2's 1st birthday in October. So we're coming up on our 4th and 5th trips in the last year. Two more weeks baby! So excited!!!

Back from 1st Trip to DL- Thoughts

Having grown up in Southern California, I love to read such glowing reviews "my" Disneyland. I've never been to WDW and I'm sure I'd love it, but Disneyland (and now DCA) are like home to me. Yes it's an awesome place! Glad you had fun. :)

Getting over my vanity at Disneyland....

I hear ya on the shoes, utahbelle. I don't like the look of athletic shoes with capris. You kind find REALLY cute shoes on Zappos, and they won't hurt your feet. Look under "comfort". I love Clarks, Aerosoles, Danskos, etc. Or, you can get stylish athletic shoes like they always recommend...

Which Rides are the Scariest for Young Riders?

I completely lost it on Haunted Mansion when I was 7. My parents had to take me over to the Bear Jamboree to get my mind off those ghosts. Yes, I am old. ;)

When is Your Spring Break This Year?

I'm a teacher and my break is the first week in April. But we'll be hitting DCA on the 2nd half of our 2fer that week, not DL. We did it that way last year and the lines were quite manageable. We walked right on almost everything in a bug's land.

    Southern California Residents Ticket Promotion

2fer fans here. The timing is right for DS1's birthday, as well as spring break (I'm a teacher). So we take advantage of it. I agree with Albort, though. It's purpose is to bring people into DCA. Back in the day, So Cal residents would just get discounted admission during the low season...

    Disneyland STROLLER PICS?

We're locals and even we rent. We put the baby in our own stroller, and the 3 year old in a rental. He sleeps just fine in it.

California Adventure not getting the crowds, why?

My family PREFERS California Adventure. The pace is slower for the grandparents, and my kids are Pixar fanatics. So while we hate to miss out on Buzz over at DL, there are just so many other Pixar highlights at DCA: Block Party parade, Turtle Talk, a bug's land, etc. I'd love to see John...

    club 33

Hi, first post! :cheer2: Though I grew up in So Cal, and went to DL many many times in my youth, I hadn't been in close to 15 years. But 2 years ago (Feb) my oldest friend was turning 33. She knew-someone-who-knew-someone. So we got to go for her birthday. It was a very elegant...
