    Hotel Confusion

We are headed to Universal March 30th. I have RPR booked for the entire stay, but I don't think we will be comfortable there for a week. I have three teenagers and I cant see how we would all fit comfortably. I am considering a split stay with somewhere else, but not sure where. We want to keep...

Boardwalk Inn or Beach Club? Help!

I have stayed at both and thought both were lovely resorts. I have been to the BC multiple times and the BWI once. I will be returning to both this year. :cool1: I think that you should look at the pics of the resorts and decide which theme/pool/etc appeals more to your family. Maybe have your...

Two nights at ANY RESORT on property. What would you choose?

GF because it would be a splurge for us. Plus, if I was already staying at an Epcot resort, I would want my other resort to be near a different park. I would pick GF CL TPV.

Split stays and dining plans...I'm so confused!

I'm not sure how it would work out price wise, but I believe to get the free dining you have to buy at least a 1 day park pass for the package. You could look to see how it would work to get a 9 day tix on your first ressie and a 1 day ticket o. The second. That should meet the requirements for...

2012/2013 Beach and Yacht FAQ- Closing Soon- New Thread Started- Don't Post Here

You got that right. I'm not sure if you will have a car or not, but if you don't, you will have to take a cab. You aren't allowed to take your luggage on Disney transportation. You probably already knew that, but I figured I would point that for anyone else that might be reading.

I am from NJ and also have twins, but I am definitely from SOUTH Jersey. I did go to college in Trenton, which to me, might as well have been North Jersey.

Would you stay at BWV or S/D if price diferences was $200?

Is the price difference $200 a night or over the length of your trip? If it is over the length of your trip, then how long is your trip? Also. If you are driving, factor in the parking fee at the swolphin into your price breakdown.

    Where to stay??

I think if you are not going to be spending time at your resort, then it won't matter all that much that it is a little farther away. Although staying closer is convenient, albeit more $$, I think that it really pays off the most when your touring "style" takes you back and forth to your resort...

    Choose resort based on transportation??

We have stayed at all the monorail resorts and the Poly was our least favorite of the three. I think the PP idea of renting points for a 1bdrm is a great idea. Or renting points and staying in a 1 bdrm at Wilderness Lodge is also an option. The plus to a 1 bedroom is the kitchen. You can have...

Advice needed on a strange circumstance during our booking....

Is it possible it was the last room available and someone else snagged it while you were mid conversation? We had a similar situation once where we booked at the Poly and then got our airfare a day longer than our original booking. When I called the Poly to add a night, there weren't any...

AoA LM or split stay with AoA and WL?

We have done split stays several times and there is no appreciable lost park time. If you are planning on using the pool while your bags are in transit, cary your bathing suits with you. Once you check your bags at the first resort, they probably won't be available until around 4:00 or so at the...

Which resort did your 3 or 6 year old like the best?

My kids have loved every resort we have stayed in (see below), with the exception of Pop. We have no experience with WL or AKL because they only sleep 4 to a room. We are planning to stay at the WLV at some point though. We stayed at OKW when my kids were little. I think the twins were...

    Resort for First Trip

If your older child likes slides at the pool, then skip the values because they don't have them. I have only stayed in one value, but didn't like it at all. My kids got bored quickly at the pool because there wasn't a slide. Coronado and CBR both have great pool areas. I know people say that CBR...

Best way from YC to Poly?

It depends on what time you want to have breakfast. If Epcot is open, we like to stroll through there and hop the monorail. If not, then I would take the bus to the MK and then hop the monorail or the boat to the Poly.

First trip - Value or Deluxe?

She said that in reference to the deluxe dining plan, not the deluxe hotel.

POP AoA or Sports for 2 and 4.5 year old

AoA because your son isn't old enough to care yet and your daughter will probably love the LM rooms. It also has a great pool and kiddie play area that I think your kids would love.

2012/2013 Beach and Yacht FAQ- Closing Soon- New Thread Started- Don't Post Here

I booked a deal through Magical Travel Vacations. I got CL at the BC for just under $290 a night, including taxes. (no passes) This was cheaper than the standard room at rack rate. They had/have blocks of rooms at the YC/BC and the GF for the "Labor Day" deal. I just googled them to get the web...

The Captains' Grille has a buffet option and an al a carte menu, so you can get through a meal there very quickly if you do the buffet. We have gotten breakfast sandwiches at the Marketplace before, or a milk and little boxes of cereal or pastries. Sometimes we just wait and grab a QS breakfast...

First trip - Value or Deluxe?

We have done deluxe a couple of times. We made all our dinner ressies at 2 point restaurants. We would use our other credit for the day at either a breakfast or a lunch and then use or snack credits to fill in for the other meal. It was still a lot of food, but definitely manageable. dde0a
